Abstract: An ignition source system for an exothermic reaction mold device for welding conductors. The system includes a crucible in a block with an open top so that the crucible receives an exothermic weld material. The conductors to be welded exothermically are placed in the weld cavity of the mold. A lid covers the open top wherein the lid has an opening therethrough. An electronic thermal igniter assembly has an ignition component receivable through the opening in the lid so that the exothermic weld material may be ignited by the electronic thermal igniter assembly. The igniter plug rests on top of the lid and the ignition body is retained in a recess within the igniter plug.

  • Patent number: 8070489
Abstract: An integrated modular dental measuring apparatus and method of use for producing edentulous dentures, each including a lower dental tray having a removable modular contact plate with an upwardly extending shoulder surrounding a tapered opening, a ball nut retained in the tapered opening, and a post adjustably secured to the ball nut. A modular striking plate may be removably attached to an upper dental tray or an integrated striking sector on a bottom surface of the upper dental tray is utilized to accurately obtain an established occlusal vertical and centric relation positions. The contact plate and striking plate are each configured as snap-in components to the respective trays. Additionally, the contact plate may be utilized as a spacer between the dental trays once the post and ball nut are removed. Finally, the contact plate and striking plate may be removed for functional positioning and esthetic blue printing measurements.

  • Patent number: 8062405
Abstract: A value-added granulated organic fertilizer produced from poultry litter and biosolids using agglomeration techniques with a pin mixer. The granulated organic fertilizer includes granules biosolids, a nitrification inhibitor, such as dicyandiamide, and a binding agent, such as lignosulfonate, urea formaldehyde, or water. The nitrogen concentration of the granulated organic fertilizer is increased by being fortified with urea. The poultry litter and biosolids formulated into the granulated organic fertilizer aid in flowability, storage, and spreading, while value-added plant nutrient ingredients provide an environmentally safer fertilizer than fresh poultry litter, municipal biosolids and/or many commercially available products commonly used in urban and agricultural systems. The binding agents change the fertilizer granule water soluble phosphorus and nitrogen concentrations and reduce fines and dust.

  • Patent number: 8056235
Abstract: A modular rail and post fence system which may be fabricated, assembled, and installed without fasteners, adhesives or welding. The fence system includes a plurality of rail assemblies with each rail assembly formed from a pair of panels. Each panel has a pair of sidewalls joined together at an angle to form an angled edge wherein the pair of panels are joined together to form a rail assembly. A plurality of elongated posts are also provided. Each elongated post has at least one longitudinal recess. At least one pair of notches in the pair of longitudinal recesses is provided whereby the angled edges of each rail assembly are received in one pair of notches of the elongated posts.

  • Patent number: 8054124
Abstract: An electronic device with polarity reversal protected connections and irreversibly interruptible programming connections, wherein the interruption is performed through safety elements provided in the programming paths, behind which safety elements diodes are disposed which block towards ground in normal operation, so that an overload current can be passed through the safety elements and through the diodes to ground through intentional polarity reversal of the respective connections, whereby the safety elements are destroyed and the programming conductors are irreversibly interrupted.

  • Patent number: 8037012
Abstract: A method to select, evaluate and recommend optimal rod pumping system design for a downhole well. The method includes the steps of selecting at least one downhole rod type as a setup preference, selecting at least one pumping unit type as a setup preference, and selecting at least one motor power meter type as a setup preference. Well information, including depth of a pump and run time, is entered as a case input. Additionally, a target production for the well is entered. Records are retrieved from a database wherein the records contain input data on each downhole rod type, each pumping unit type, and each pump motor type. Data is merged from all the case inputs, all of the setup preferences, and from the database records. Scores of gearbox loading, structure loading, system efficiency, rod loading, minimum polished rod loading and bottom minimum stress are calculated and then combined to determine a calculated percentage score for each pumping unit type for the downhole well.
