Abstract: An improved method, formulation and kit for the treatment of acne vulgaris are disclosed. The formulation is effective in inhibiting or killing the Proprionibacterium microorganism without utilizing antibiotics A preferred formulation alleviates the four pathogenic factors involved in the development of acne a) the putative pathogen of acne, Proprionibacterium acnes, b) abnormal desquamation of sebaceous-follicle epithelium (comedogenesis), c) the androgen-induced excessive sebum production, and d) the follicular reactivity (inflammation). The formulations are preferably applied as a cream, lotion or an emulsion.
Abstract: A novel tackle box is disclosed which employs hook attaching means comprising a vertical slot adapted to receive the hooks of artificial fishing bait. The hook attaching means are secured to the top inside of the tackle box or to one or more horizontal shelves in said box so that any bait stored is suspended during storage. Suspension allows for drying of the tackle and prevention of rust. The tackle may be easily inserted and easily removed from the slots. The box provides an effective storage means and method especially for unwieldy and cumbersome baits.

Abstract: A portable medication compliance device having a body and compartments formed in the body. A microprocessor is disposed in the body and is coupled to each of the compartments. The microprocessor is programmable to determine relative time intervals for dispensing medication from each of the compartments, and to record the opening of each of the compartments in a memory. Programming buttons are positioned proximate the body and are coupled to the microprocessor. The programming buttons enable a user to program the microprocessor. The device may also be programmed via a remote computer through communication means such as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is positioned on the body and is coupled to the microprocessor. The LCD displays data including the relative time intervals for dispensing medication determined by the microprocessor.
Abstract: The present invention supports a message protocol on a wireless communication network to setup a shortened slot cycle operation for a mobile station. During wireless, packet-based communication, a mobile station can utilize a shortened slot cycle to increase the frequency a communication channel is monitored by a mobile station while in idle state. While this is advantageous to communication requiring a fast response, it increases power consumption and decreases battery charge time. Under present usage, the shortened slot cycle must be used by all mobile stations connected to the base transceiver whether required or not. To increase efficiency and avoid unnecessary power consumption, the invention allows only those mobile stations that require it to implement the shortened slot cycle. Signaling messages sent from the mobile station to the base station controller will initiate a shortened slot cycle only for that mobile station.
