Abstract: An apparatus for attachment to a rear end of a combine for spreading straw and chaff comprises a pair of side-by-side rotating pans with attached blades for spreading chaff, with a straw spreader attached to and above each pan to spread straw before same falls onto the pans. Each pan is enclosed at the front by a vertical wall with an opening to allow chaff to exit to the rear and side. A lip extends from the top of the wall toward the center of the pan to enhance the air blast and increase the distance chaff is blown. Rear deflectors allow the amount of chaff directed to the rear to be varied.

Abstract: A lint filter construction 10 for use with the drain outlet 101 of a washing machine 100 wherein the construction 10 includes a filter body unit 11 comprising a sieve-like body member 20 fabricated from a sheet of plastic netting and having an upper portion 22 dimensioned to receive and be captively secured to the drain outlet 101 by a filter attachment unit 12 and further including an enlarged intermediate portion 23 and an enlarged lower portion 24; wherein, the lower portion 24 is further provided with a releasable sealing arrangement 40 for removing trapped lint directly from the bottom of the sieve-like body member 20.

Abstract: A see through protective cover construction (10) for the interior of a crib (100) as defined by the crib slats (101). The construction (10) includes a padding unit (11) including four pairs of interior (21) and exterior (22) resilient padding segments provided with aligned viewing portals (23) and joined together to sandwich a length of netting fabric (30) which is stretched across each of the viewing portals, and a fitted fabric cover member (40) dimensioned to envelope the padding unit (11) and having openings surrounding the viewing portals (23). The fabric cover member (40) is provided with a cover securing unit (14) for releasably engaging the construction (10) to selected slats (101) on the crib (100).

Abstract: A page holder adapted to hold opposing pages of a book in an open position while reading. The page holder includes first and second wings meeting at a junction point and disposed at an angle of about 150° with respect to each other. A thumb opening is spaced back from the leading surface of the first and second wings and offset slightly from the junction point toward the first wing. In use, the reader's thumb is inserted into the thumb opening and the junction point is placed between two adjoining pages of an open book near the bottom of the pages. One wing extends over and holds down the page on the right while the other wing holds down the page on the left. One embodiment of the invention is formed of clear plastic material using injection molding, while another embodiment is made of metal wire using wireform manufacturing techniques.
