Abstract: A process for optimum usage of energy in the CURING of grain in a bin using free energy of atmospheric air. Optimum utilization of energy in the operation of ventilation fans and dehumidification of atmospheric air without waste of energy is achieved by operating fans and infrared emitters only when required as dictated by the measured temperature differential between the air entering and the air exhausting from the bin. As physiological activity and metabolic processes of the freshly harvested seeds decrease, as indicated by exchanges of heat and moisture between the seeds and the environment, the energy needed to maintain a biologically safe environment also decreases.
Abstract: A frame assembly having a plurality of open sides to permit developing fluid to flow therethrough. A film holding assembly is formed into and extends between the ends of the frame assembly. A guide assembly is connected between the frame assembly ends across one open side of the frame assembly and in alignment with the film holding assembly. The guide assembly includes guide bars having structures detectable by touch formed thereon, each guide bar being distinguished by the number and location of said structures.
Abstract: A control apparatus for antisurge protection of a dynamic compressor including a junction of a closed antisurge loop with a surge limit computing module and a two mode controller with a relay backup system with deviation alarms is characterized in operation in that during a slow disturbance, the two mode controller provides modulated antisurge protection by opening a relief valve, if the operating point of the compressor crosses the surge control line and during a dangerously fast disturbance, the relay backup system provides antisurge protection if a preestablished deviation of the operating point from the surge control line appears. A relay backup system opens the relief valve very quickly. When the relief valve is so opened, the process of the user of fluid from the compressor is compensated by increasing the performance of the compressor to maintain pressure or flow rate.
Abstract: A foot operated paddle wheel boat including a foot pedal well having a floor disposed above the water line and a drain opening disposed in the floor. The drain opening, being above the water line when the boat is in the water, continuously drains water from the pedal well.
Abstract: A reversible, multi purpose, multi stylable structure for use as a hat, a pouch, a muff and a puppet, and formed from a multicolored equilateral triangle which is folded and secured in a position which permits the folded structure to be turned inside out to present six different combinations of outer surfaces, and including the method of constructing same.
Abstract: A heating system is provided to convert radiant solar energy into heat for use in buildings. The apparatus includes a solar energy collection and heat radiation means, a heat storage means utilizing a heat retention medium, ducting means for providing pneumatic communication within the system, and fluid communication means for providing liquid communication within the system. A method of heating buildings is also disclosed.
Abstract: A bowling alley gutter dusting apparatus is disclosed that automatically and simultaneously dusts four gutters and the ball return chute. The apparatus includes a dusting appendage, a housing unit, a guidance structure, and a propulsion system. A method for dusting bowling alley gutters is also disclosed.
Abstract: An apparatus for use in the lifting of tires that includes a master support sleeve, two movable arms slideably associated with the master support sleeve, and two hook units pivotably connected to the arms for easy engagement with the inner rim of a tire.
Abstract: A portable, mechanical apparatus that can simulate either a running calf or a running steer for the purposes of roping exercises by changing the body height and position to resemble either a calf or a steer. The apparatus further including a ground engaging element and a release system that accomodates the roping techniques of both calf roping and steer roping which is easily reconnected to the tow-cable for subsequent exercises.
