  • Patent number: 6129639
Abstract: A putting trainer for assisting a golfer perfect his address, the address of the putter, and the putting stroke. The trainer is designed for use on a support surface with a golf ball and a putter. The trainer includes a pair of spaced base members carrying a pair of parallel longitudinally positioned curtains which are arranged perpendicular of a target and in an elevated position which is slightly greater than the height of the ball and the putter blade. The curtains are laterally spaced a distance which is slightly greater than the width of the ball. A guide, which is parallel with the curtains and laterally spaced therefrom a distance equal the distance between the heel and the sweet spot of the putter, is adjustably secured with the base members. In use, with the ball placed between and beneath the curtains with the blade beneath and perpendicular of the curtains, the sweet spot adjacent the ball, and the heel in engagement with said guide.

  • Patent number: 5760340
Abstract: A woven transmission cable formed of a plurality of conductor wires arranged in side-by-side relationship forming an array which extends along a single plane. Coating the conductor wires with a self lubricating insulating material and separating them with warp yarns which are located between adjacent ones thereof. Weaving a weft yarn, formed also of a self lubricating material, to pass alternately over and under the warp yarns and the wires of the array, forming a woven structure in which the wires are capable of longitudinal adjustment relative to the warp yarns and the weft yarns. The longitudinal adjustment allows the cable to be shaped into an arcuate configuration while maintaining the wires along a single plane.

  • Patent number: 5713397
Abstract: An imprinting through air multi-layer drying fabric for use with a papermaking machine comprising a plurality of MD (machine direction) yarns forming a continuous loop and a plurality of CMD (cross machine direction yarns) interlacing with said MD yarns and extending in the width direction. The fabric is formed to have a support surface and a machine surface with the machine surface comprising a plurality of load bearing MD yarns arranged side-by-side across the width of the fabric, and interlaced in a first pattern with the CMD yarns to provide an even knuckle distribution over the first layer. The support surface is formed of second plurality of non-load bearing MD yarns arranged side-by-side interlaced with the CMD yarns in s second pattern producing raised MD yarn floats arranged in a staggered arrangement in the MD direction to produce a desired pattern.

  • Patent number: 5330179
Abstract: A gauge for determining the distance of break, on a surface of golf green for a properly putted golf ball moving from a given point toward a golf cup. The gauge includes a base having measure indica at each end thereof and a level indicating member on one edge thereof. A sighting element is pivotally secured with the base and includes measure indica pointing means at each end thereof. By selecting a given point from the golf cup and arranging the base so that the level indicating member indicates level and arranging the sighting element to be coplanar with the surface of the golf green at the golf cup, the indica pointing means will point to measure indica denoting the distance of break of the golf ball to the left or right of the cup.
