  • Patent number: 4144765
Abstract: Linear acceleration responsive apparatus is disclosed wherein a sensing mass is suspended within a housing by torsion hinge means located along a pair of parallel axes in each of two planes perpendicular to an input axis. Separate torsion hinge means in each plane are attached to the mass and the housing by ring assemblies, and are joined by intermediate arms which may serve as flex leads for carrying electric current to a force rebalance winding on the mass.

  • Patent number: 4138531
Abstract: A battery holder for a control device is integral with the base of the control device and has a first support member with battery connections and a second support member which is made up of a L-shaped lever comprising a portion of the base. The second support member is flexible whereby the battery can be placed between the first and second support members and a force moving the battery toward the connection means by the second support member will connect the battery to the connection. The battery can be removed from the battery holder by lifting the second support member. Adjacent support members which are hooked to hold the battery in place are flexible to move away from the battery when the battery is lifted to be in a position so that the battery can then be manually pulled out of the battery holder and disconnected from the battery connection means.

  • Patent number: 4128010
Abstract: A temperature compensated accelerometer of the type having a permanent magnet, moving coil rebalance system is disclosed. A cylindrical permanent magnet and surrounding sleeve produce radial magnetic fields in annular regions in which are located rebalance coils on a suspended bobbin. A noninductive temperature sensing winding on the magnet is connected in a bridge input circuit to an amplifier which produces a current in an auxillary winding for augmenting the fields produced by the permanent magnet so as to maintain constant magnetic field strength in the annular regions.

  • Patent number: 4104674
Abstract: A double-sided mosaic focal plane for infrared detection includes a semiconductor substrate having first and second opposing surfaces. Infrared detectors are mounted on the first surface and solid state signal processing circuitry is formed in the semiconductor substrate proximate the second surface. Interconnect means extend through the semiconductor substrate to interconnect the infrared detectors with the solid state signal processing circuitry.

  • Patent number: 4099119
Abstract: Probe apparatus is disclosed for in place testing of circuit boards of the type which carry electrical components interconnected at nodes accessible from at least a first side of the board. The probe apparatus may comprise a card which is attached to the circuit board under test adjacent its first side. A probe module, including signal conditioning means and a short interfacing element, is mounted on the card in close proximity to the node of interest. The signal conditioning means and interfacing element may comprise electrical decoupling and signal pick off means capable of sensing signals at the node while minimizing introduction of spurious signals thereto.

  • Patent number: 4093353
Abstract: An optical limiter includes two bandpass filters whose narrow passbands are at least partially overlapping at low light levels. One of the two filters is well heat-sunk while the other is not. When the input light level exceeds a threshold level, heating causes the passband of the thermally isolated filter to shift relative to the passband of the heat-sunk filter. High level light self-limits or attenuates itself by virtue of the filter passband mismatch that occurs.
