Abstract: In order to provide a more flexible adjustment of signal delay times in a circuit configuration containing a line device and a number of electronic components accessing it, it is proposed to add additional capacitances, which can be varied in a controllable manner. In addition, the capacitances are to formed in a region of the existing components.
Abstract: A method for back-etching of tungsten-coated substrate surfaces in the production of large-scale integrated circuits includes pressing a substrate against a cooled specimen holder during back-etching with a retaining ring being disposed on an edge of the substrate and only locally retaining the edge of the substrate with the retaining ring at retaining locations distributed over the circumference of the retaining ring. The retaining locations are backup-free relative to etching products liberated in the back-etching, causing the etching products to flow past the retaining locations and be purposefully deposited outside the substrate surface.
Abstract: A substrate is precisely positioned by a positioning element belonging to the substrate in an assembly device. While positioned in the assembly device, a converter is disposed and fixed on the substrate in a precise position relative to the positioning element. After that, the substrate is positioned precisely in an injection mold by the positioning element and surrounded by a moldable material, causing the formation of a molded body. The molded body has at least one functional surface, such as a lens or a stop face, serving the purpose of optical coupling.
Abstract: An electromechanical switching device includes at least one moveable contact and an associated drive in a device housing. Magnetic field sensors which are disposed at a suitable location inside and/or outside the device housing detect magnetic field values that are each linked to one of a plurality of switching states. The device housing has a switching handle which is intended for manual release. Through the use of a miniature inductance element with a ferrite core as a highly sensitive magnetic field sensor, a position of the switching handle or of a part coupled thereto is monitored and/or a current flowing in the switching device is detected.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating a textile machine, such as an automatic bobbin winder or an automatic spinning machine, include subdividing a course of operation into individual operating steps; monitoring at least one of the operating steps with at least one sensor for detecting presence, absence or movement past the sensor of an article connected to the textile machine or success or failure of a provision or an operating step and tripping an automatic intervention into the course of operation as a function of the outcome of the detection. According to the method, the functional capability of the sensor is automatically monitored, and an automatic switch over takes place from the operating program to a prepared substitute program no longer requiring the sensor for continued operation of the textile machine after failure of the sensor.
Abstract: A rotary piston pump assembly includes a rotary piston pump having a pump housing. First and second outlets lead fluid out of the pump housing. The fluid is returned into the pump housing through the first outlets and the first outlets are closed during a portion of the rotation of the pump.
Abstract: Method of fastening drive elements on a hollow shaft, which comprises:pushing n drive elements with a thickness a over a hollow shaft, retaining the drive elements at mutual spacings b and in respective desired azimuthal positions by means of holding devices;providing active sections of a material with a given limit of elasticity, a length c, mutual spacings d and being bounded by sealing lips on a hydraulic expanding device so that n(a+b)=n(c+d), pushing the hydraulic expanding device into the hollow shaft; andapplying a pressure through the hollow shaft to the active sections stressing the material of the active sections radially beyond the given limit of elasticity.
