Patent number: 8348574Abstract: A fabricating method for the self-drilling screw has acts of forming a main section and a secondary section by punching, forming a flat drilling blade with a tapered end at a bottom end of the small diameter portion by punching, and forming a thread portion on an outer surface of the main section and a chip removal thread portion with a spiral chip removal groove on an outer surface of the secondary section by rolling. The self-drilling screw utilizes the flat drilling blade with the tapered end and the chip removal section having chip removal function to reduce the size of the drilling blade. Therefore, the self-drilling screw reduces the size of the punching die, lowers the punching force, lowers both the load of the punching die and the load of the punching machine, and lowers both the die cost and the manufacturing cost.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2010Date of Patent: January 8, 2013Inventor: Tsung-Cheng Lai

Patent number: 8323742Abstract: A process for foaming ceramic foams, in which the ceramic foams are produced from a precursor or a mixture of precursors which contain at least one ceramic-forming element and liberates at least one volatile reaction product during an inorganic gelation process. In one embodiment, foaming is based on a precursor containing crystals of the AlCl3(Pri2O) complex. The decomposition of the initial precursor produces polymerizing species dissolved in liquid isopropyl chloride. The solvent and growing AlOxCly(OPri)z species are mixed homogeneously so that the boiling point of the solution is raised above the boiling point of the pure isopropyl chloride. Polymerization takes place in the liquid until a critical polymer size is attained, whereupon a phase separation into polymer rich and solvent rich regions occurs. Since the expelled solvent is suddenly above its boiling point, bubbles start forming instantly.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2010Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Assignee: Cellaris LimitedInventors: Gideon Grader, Gennady Shter, Yoram Dehazan

Patent number: 8297309Abstract: An inflatable product has an air pump device and a pressure releasing valve. The air pump device has a housing and a pumping assembly. The housing has two openings as an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The pumping assembly is mounted in the housing and has a motor and a fan. The motor is mounted between the inlet and outlet openings and drives the fan. Consequently, mounting the motor between the first opening and the second opening dissipates the heat of the motor because the air passing by the motor cools the motor. The pressure releasing valve is adjusted by users and releases air while pressure of air in the inflatable body reaches a predetermined pressure level.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2007Date of Patent: October 30, 2012Inventor: Cheng-Chung Wang

Patent number: 8285129Abstract: In a hot water supply system, a heat exchanger transfers heat from a heating device to inflow water to supply the inflow water at a user-set temperature. A flow sensor measures a flow rate of inflow water. A water tank stores outflow water discharged from the heat exchanger. A first temperature sensor, installed on an inlet pipe through which the inflow water flows, measures a temperature of the inflow water. A second temperature sensor, installed on an outlet pipe through which the outflow water flows, measures a temperature of the outflow water discharged from the heat exchanger. A controller includes an input unit to receive input from a user, wherein the controller controls an operation of the heating device based on at least one of: (1) comparison between the user-set temperature and the temperature of the outflow water; (2) variation in the flow rate; or (3) any combination thereof.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 2008Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: Kyungdong One CorporationInventors: Yong-Bum Kim, Si-Hwan Kim
