  • Patent number: 4833771
Abstract: This invention discloses a cargo container with transparent polycarbonate panels held by inner and outer corner molding strips. The molding strips are press-fitted together, form the corner joints of the container, and retain the panel edge corrugations by internesting the corrugations in a matching channel formed by the mated strips. The panel, therefore, is not penetrated by bolts, rivets, etc. The invention also discloses a method to progressively shape-form corrugations into preheated (to 120.degree. F.) panels by a series of roller dies, some of which are also heated to 110.degree. F.

  • Patent number: 4803787
Abstract: The procedure to prevent the formation of condensation on tools that are heated in use and are cooled by a circulated coolant is particularly relevant to plastic moulding machines. To avoid the build-up of condensation from dampness on the cooled tools a dry air veil, as herein laid down, is produced by direct blowing-on of the tools, through which the cooling water temperature of the circulated coolant in the tools can be further reduced making shorter work cycles possible. By use of a special control equipment, the dew point on the tool surface is picked up which regulates the cooling water temperature accordingly.

  • Patent number: 4742604
Abstract: A central belt locking assembly is disclosed comprising a base plate around which an outer ring extends thereby defining a recess therebetween. An inner ring is spring mounted in the recess. A hub is mounted on the base plate within the inner ring. The hub has an annular channel adapted to receive the locking section of a belt lug. The hub cooperates with the inner ring to receive and retain the locking section of a belt lug. A release mechanism is provided to move the hub to a second open position thereby releasing the locking section of the belt lug.

  • Patent number: 4720008
Abstract: A conveyor assembly for use with conveyor belt systems of the type utilizing articulated links having downwardly extending opposed feet. The conveyor assembly includes a guide ramp for supporting the conveyor belt and guiding it to a drive sprocket. The guide ramp has a horizontal leading end and a downwardly inclined trailing end. The opposed feet of the conveyor belt are supported within a clearance between two sides of the guide ramp. Due to the incline on the ramp the drive sprocket may be lowered allowing implementation of a coverplate at the same height as the main, horizontal section of the conveyor belt. Use of this coverplate protects the operator and prevents items being transported on the conveyor belt from falling into the drive bed of the conveyor assembly.

  • Patent number: 4607900
Abstract: A telephone access jack security device for an access jack mounted in a faceplate of a fixture. The security device comprises a baseplate adapted to mount on the front of the faceplate having an opening therein adapted to expose the connector receptacle. A locking member is attached to the baseplate and extends outwardly therefrom. A coverplate, of substantially unitary contruction, having suitable dimensions to substantially cover the baseplate, is placed in parallel overlying relationship therewith, forming a cavity between the baseplate and the coverplate sufficiently sealed to prevent passage of a telephone connector. The coverplate has an opening therein sufficient to permit the close passage of the locking member therethrough when the coverplate and the baseplate are placed in the parallel overlying relationship with one another. The coverplate and baseplate are hinged together to permit the coverplate to be placed in this substantially parallel overlying relationship with the baseplate.

  • Patent number: 4607197
Abstract: A linear and rotary electromagnetic device particularly adapted as a linear and rotary stepper or stepper motor. A cylindrical movable member or armature is provided which is mounted for both axial movement and for angular movement about its axis. The armature member has teeth on its surface formed in both axial rows and in circumferential alignment or rows. Stator means having poles with windings associated with the poles is provided, the stator means having a central opening in which the movable armature member is mounted for axial and angular movement. By energizing certain angularly spaced windings, the movable armature member may be caused to rotate. • Patent number: 4599892
Abstract: The apparatus consists of a mechanical acoustical driver producing sound vibrations in a fluid, such as a liquid or gas, within an enclosed space. A pickup transducer positioned within the tank measures the sound vibrations of the gas within the tank and transmits the same to a lock-in amplifier and a low pass filter. The outputs of the lock-in amplifier and low pass filters are fed to differential amplifiers which amplify the difference between the dynamic fluid pressure changes caused by the sound vibrations and the static pressure. An acoustical resistor is positioned between the pickup transducer and the wall of the enclosed space for providing a fluid passage way therethrough. The acoustic resistor in conjunction with a nonlinear circuit element mounted at the output of the differential amplifiers linearizes the output of the apparatus providing accurate measurements of the material at both extremes of either very small volume or very large volume in the enclosed space.
