Abstract: A system and method for maximizing a vehicle's fuel efficiency preferably without inconveniencing the driver, includes maximizing a ratio of a real-time parameter proportional to engine load or engine power to fuel flow or air flow rate referred to herein as the P/F ratio. This ratio is calculated to evaluate engine fuel efficiency. With the system and method, the throttle is operated incrementally to increase or decrease the throttle in a manner to maximize the P/F ratio, thus maximizing fuel efficiency, in a pulse phase. The system and method implement an on and off pulse width modulation (“PWM”) style of control to modulate engine power and acceleration to achieve the speed that the driver desires, based on the position of the accelerator pedal. When the desired speed is achieved, the throttle is released and when the speed drops a sufficient amount, the throttle is re-engaged to reach the desired speed again.
Abstract: A system and method enables registering persons to allow other people to leave anonymous feedback without requiring an actual connection to be made or requested by one another, i.e., anonymously. Such system and method, and database, enables registering persons to receive anonymous feedback about themselves by providing personal information that an acquaintance would need to know and provide prior to being allowed to leave feedback. The system and method may also allow people to register to receive feedback and provide a unique code or a system generated code which must be entered by another user to be able to leave feedback.
Abstract: A method for encoding and displaying documents includes identifying multiple characteristics, such as characters, and scenery, about text of a document, creating a key for correlating the characteristics with multiple unique indicia such as color, and placing corresponding indicia to the characteristics present in a line of text in columns adjacent the line of text on the basis of the key. A system for encoding and displaying documents includes a memory containing multiple characteristics about text of a document, the document, a key for correlating the characteristics with each unique indicia, and a display showing at least some of the unique indicia adjacent at least some lines of text in the document, the unique indicia placed adjacent the line of text corresponding to the characteristics in the line of text based on the key.
