Abstract: A system for personalizing one or more electrical circuits having plurality of layers with electrical characteristics. The layers being produced by an electrical characteristic determination process (ECDP). The system for personalizing includes a wafer stage for receiving a wafer in order to produce a plurality of electrical circuits. The system is configured to apply a personalization process during production of the layers. The personalization process includes using a first ECDP in the layer to produce identical electrical characteristics on the wafer in each of the plurality of electrical circuits, and using a second ECDP in the layer to modify one or more electrical characteristics in selected electrical circuits so as to incorporate in the selected circuits an individualized digital number, giving rise to the desired personalizing of one or more of the specified electrical circuits. Related apparatus and methods are also provided.
Abstract: A sleeveless screw connection between two reinforcing steel elements includes a conical tapped hole in one end of one of the elements, and a conical externally threaded end on the other element. The surface of each thread envelope makes an angle of between 3.degree. and 10.degree. with the axis of the respective element; the thread pitch is between 1.0 and 2.5 mm, and the thread angle is between 70.degree. and 90.degree..
Abstract: Connector for quick release under load, particularly for pipes for transporting fluids such as hydrocarbons, characterized by the fact that it comprises, between two opposite structural elements (1, 2) or between two parts of an element connecting the two structural elements, at least a connecting device comprising an internally shaped annular ring (7) consisting of at least two segments of complementary shape, a rod (4) equipped with an outside shaping corresponding to the inside shaping of the ring, engaged internally in said ring and extending over at least a part of its height and an annular sleeve (6) engaged on said nut and able to be moved axially in relation to it under the effect of an actuating element, such as a cylinder (12) acting directly or indirectly on said sleeve.
Abstract: A self-tailing winch with pivoting teeth comprising a fixed support constituting a base, a drum mounted to rotate about the fixed support, a vertical shaft for driving the drum in rotation and connected thereto via a transmission including a stepdown gear train, and an automatic clamping mechanism for clamping cable or rope wound around the winch, which clamping mechanism is mounted at the top of the drum in order to form a self-tailing head for the rope. The automatic cable or rope clamping mechanism comprises a plurality of pivoting teeth distributed around the bottom portion of a block on top of the drum and constrained to rotate therewith, and springs mounted in the block in order to exert downwards pressure individually on each of the pivoting teeth which themselves exert pressure individually on the rope in order to pinch the rope against the top end of the drum, thereby enabling the same winch to operate effectively with ropes of different types and of different sections.
Abstract: A hitch for connecting a sulky shaft to a harness girth on a horse comprises a pair of brackets affixed to the girth, with a pivotable yoke pivotally mounted between the brackets on a vertical bolt. A horizontal bolt, extending through arms of the yoke, pivotably supports an element which is connected to the sulky shaft by means of an L-shaped pin having a pivoting connection to a hole in the sulky shaft, providing universal movement between the sulky shaft and the harness.
Abstract: In an exhaust hood (5) for cooking places or other kinds of sources of dust or fumes, on the front edge of hood (27) blast nozzle arrangement (26) is provided, which directs blast air (22) in the form of a wall jet approximately horizontally over the underside of hood (28) against filter (17) placed in the rear area of the hood, so that the wall jet draws the flow of fumes and carries it along. In a special embodiment of the exhaust hood, on the underside of the front wall of the hood, a downward directed swirl nozzle (38) is provided, which produces vortex flow (37) which empties into the blast air flow.
