  • Patent number: 4737769
Abstract: An alarm system utilizing existing electrical wiring in conjunction with an alarm box. An alarm signal is manually or automatically generated and is converted to an RF signal which is conducted over the existing electrical wiring to an alarm box. The RF signal is re-converted to an electronic or electrical signal and the alarm signal is visually displayed. Various sensors for sensing the presence of various conditions, such as fire or unauthorized intrusion are removeably or directly affixed to plug receptacles or wall switches. Additionally, the system is connected to circuit protection devices, such as circuit breakers which could be tripped, should a fire conduction be sensed.

  • Patent number: 4694221
Abstract: A device for the restitution and/or analyzing (digitalizing) of color images on an image carrier, comprising a cathode ray tube with a line screen, an assembly of optical fibers fixed on the front face of the tube screen, a color mask in film form, fixed in front of the optical fibers assembly and carrying at least three lines of different colors, means of scanning the screen by the electron beam of the tube along different lines corresponding to the lines of the color mask; and means of relative displacement between the color mask and an image carrier situated in front of the mask, so that each line of the image is scanned by each of the beams produced by the scannings of the screen along the different lines of colors of the mask.

  • Patent number: 4691410
Abstract: A gizzard harvester is disclosed having a support receiving a gizzard and holding the same against rotation as the gizzard is lowered onto a rotating cone spindle which both washes foreign matter from the gizzard and removes its lining by rotating the lining with respect to the gizzard. A mechanism for advancing the gizzard onto the spindle includes a laterally split device whose halves are biased together by spring tension so that the gizzard remains restrained as it is forced downward over the cone. Washing parts are provided at the tip of the cone, which ports also assist removal of the liner from the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4688170
Abstract: A global data network communication system for communicating between diverse computer systems, each system provided with different protocols used to transmit, receive and understand information. At least one of the computer systems contains a memory into which a directory of information is stored to recognize the various protocols which are received from diverse computers and/or to transmit information to these diverse computers. This information contains the specific protocol which is being utilized by the diverse computer systems. A channel selector is provided which allows operator selection of the specific protocol characteristics of the particular station with which you wish to communicate.

  • Patent number: 4677251
Abstract: A door seal used in shielded enclosures for ensuring that high and low frequency electromagnetic waves are not allowed to pass through the shielded enclosure. One portion of the door seal contains a cavity having a dielectric material therein. Additionally, a small gap is provided in the periphery surrounding the cavity such that a voltage dividing network is established in the door seal for attenuating the effect of any high frequency or low frequency electromagnetic wave which would pass in either direction through the seal.

  • Patent number: 4677564
Abstract: A method for automatically producing different sizes of a particular garment from a basic pattern, wherein the basic pattern is sampled and digitized and this information is entered into the memory of a computer. A reference measurement value is determined utilizing characteristic points of the basic pattern. This reference measurement value along with data provided in the computer relating to evolutions in width and in length of the different sizes are used to calculate reference measurement values for each size. This value along with the characteristic points of the basic pattern are used to produce a pattern of differing size from the basic pattern.

  • Patent number: 4656614
Abstract: A random access memory for simultaneously reading or writing information into or from two memory cells in a memory matrix. At least two address control lines and two input/output data lines are provided for each cell of the memory matrix. Each cell is accessed independently through an arbitrary address control line. The particular input/output data line corresponding to the correct address control line is energized, thereby simultaneously accessing two memory cells.

  • Patent number: 4651157
Abstract: A method and apparatus for positively indicating the position of a land-based vehicle, a marine vessel or an aircraft, utilizing a security system provided in the secured mode of transportation monitored by a central station. Navigational information transmitted by LORAN-C transmitters or satellite transmitters are received and then retransmitted to the central station which determines the exact latitude/longitude coordinates of the secured mode of transportation. The secured mode of transportation also includes a security panel for monitoring the condition of various parameters. An interface is connected to the security panel and the navigational receiver for coordinating the transmission of information relating to the conditions monitored by the security panel as well as the information received by the navigational receiver before they are sent to a radio for transmission to the central station.
