Abstract: A conveyor device (1) for conveying substantially round products (11), for example eggs, comprises a support track (4) along which the products (11) can move in a conveying direction during use. Furthermore, the conveyor device (1) comprises a first substantially cylindrical engagement member (5), which extends transversely over the support track (4) with respect to the conveying direction. The engagement member (5) is designed to be flexible at least at the circumference, in order to engage on the products (11) on the support track (4), and can rotate about its axial axis (6) in order to advance the products (11) along the support track (4). The support track (4), downstream of the first engagement member (5) as seen in the conveying direction, has a elevated portion (8) which is located at a distance from the first engagement member (5) which is such that the latter engages on the products (11) on the upward part of the elevated portion (8).

Abstract: An appliance for storing articles within flexible and non-flexible containers under vacuum. The appliance comprises a lid adapted to define a vacuum chamber when it is moved to a closed position relative to a trough in the base of the appliance. The trough is slidably removable from the base of the appliance. The appliance is further adapted for connection to vacuum sealing attachments for various containers whereby the containers can be selectively evacuated. The appliance includes a thermal sealing mechanism for sealing a flexible container as well as a cutting mechanism for cutting the flexible container to a desired size. The appliance includes a control panel for selectively operating the vacuuming and sealing processes.
Abstract: A lens, particularly a contact lens, including surface structures on at least one of the lens surfaces. The surface structures improve lubrication conditions of the lens and increase lens comfort. Within the optical portion of the lens the surface structures comprise annular grooves of given depth and shape such that the optical performance of the lens is not adversely affected by these grooves. Appropriate surface structures on the non-optical portion may be formed in any shape and geometry.
Abstract: A gutter wing system is described, which includes a gutter wing and a collection tube which rotate about a support arm in an automatic cycle between a closed position and an open position to collect and redirect run-off water from the roof of a building, through a trough, while rejecting leaves and other debris from the system.
