Abstract: A method of testing wear-resistance of articles which comprises measuring the rate of propagation of ultrasonic oscillations in a reference article which has the lowest admissible wear resistance. The rate of propagation of ultrasonic oscillations in the articles being tested is compared with the rate in the reference article. The reference article is placed into a liquid in the suspended state and the articles being tested are placed into the same liquid. Those articles, which ascend to the surface, are rejected.
