Abstract: The present invention relates to transmitting a communication message from a first user operating a first communication device to user operating at least a second communication device, wherein the first communication device comprises a switch, a presentation device, a selection device and a recording device. The invention comprises detecting activation/deactivation of the switch in the first communication device occurring by operation of the switch by the first user; operating the recording device while the switch is activated; digitally encoding the information recorded by the recording device, and; packaging the digitally encoded information into a digital message and sending the digital message to the network address identified by the record selected by the user when the switch is deactivated without any further actions from the user.

Abstract: A method runs a simulation. The method comprises receiving a selection of a device. The device is one of a prober used in wafer testing and a handler used in package testing. The method comprises receiving at least one parameter for a set of parameters for the simulation. The method comprises running the simulation by executing commands to be performed as if the device were present. A controller supplies the set of commands. Results from the simulation indicate a performance of the controller.

Abstract: Methods of allowing a customer to access information related to an order of a commodity include entering the information into a central database, updating a content of a web-based application with the information within the central database, and allowing the customer to access the information via the web-based application. The information may include sales information, shipping information, tracing information, packout information, inventory information, and/or inspection information corresponding to the order of the commodity. Systems for allowing a customer to access information related to an order of a commodity include a server configured to store the information in a central database, one or more terminals having one or more applications configured to enter the information into the central database, and a web-based application configured to allow the customer to access the information within the central database.

Abstract: A device for monitoring a privacy sensitive area, includes an image receiving device, such as a camera, disposed inside a housing chassis. The image receiving device includes a camera lens. Additionally, a movable obstruction member configured to selectively obstruct a camera lens is disposed on the device and is configured to change a position to selectively obstruct or expose the camera lens. The position of the movable obstruction member is dependent upon a threat level received by the device.

Abstract: As a scan pattern is shifted out of a scan chain, the scan pattern is evaluated in real-time for the existence of a logic condition. A reference to a portion of the scan pattern that is currently being evaluated is maintained. Upon identifying the existence of the logic condition when the reference has a predetermined relationship to a stored value, the stored value is overwritten using the reference. The stored value is then used to estimate the position of a stuck-at defect in the scan chain.

Abstract: A permanent-magnet switched-flux (PMSF) device has an outer rotor mounted to a shaft about a central axis extending axially through the PMSF device. First and second pluralities of permanent-magnets (PMs) are respectively mounted in first and second circles, radially outwardly in first and second transverse planes extending from first and second sections of the central axis adjacent to an inner surface of the outer rotor. An inner stator is coupled to the shaft and has i) a stator core having a core axis co-axial with the central axis; and ii) first and second pluralities of stator poles mounted in first and second circles, radially outwardly from the stator core axis in the first and second transverse planes. The first and second pluralities of PMs each include PMs of alternating polarity.

Abstract: A sod handling method and a sod handling apparatus, in one embodiment the sod handling apparatus uses a pressure differential to hold a sod slab during sod transfer, other embodiments include a sod lift member for lifting sod, a sod transport mechanism for moving sod; a sod carriage for transporting sod, a sod bed positioning system for stacking sod, a system and method for checking sod quality as well as an apparatus and method of machine stacking sod to maintain the integrity of a sod stack.

Abstract: An improved oxidization process may be used to oxidize a wide variety of feedstocks. Oxidation takes place in a reactor where the feedstock is mixed with an oxidizing acid, such as nitric acid. The reaction mixture may also include a secondary oxidizing acid such as sulfuric acid as well as water and/or dissolved and mechanically mixed oxygen gas. The reactor may be maintained at an elevated pressure such as at least approximately 2070 kPa or desirably at least approximately 2800 kPa. The temperature of the reaction mixture may be maintained at no more than 210° C.

Abstract: A system and method for overlaying computer-generated highlights in a display of millimeter wave imagery is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, visible spectrum and algorithmically created images are displayed adjacent to corresponding millimeter wave imagery on a graphical user interface (GUI). The millimeter wave imagery is used to detect a threat such as a concealed object. A computer generated highlight coinciding with a location of the detected concealed object is used to automatically overlay at least one or more of the visible spectrum images, algorithmically created images, and millimeter wave imagery. The computer generated highlight is encoded with information valuable for aiding the user when viewing and assessing the image date.

Abstract: A compressed sheet gasketing material is provided with a combination of high elastomer content and high swelling medium content. In one aspect, the swelling medium may include bentonite clay and may be provided a weight percentage that varies from 30 to 60%. In another aspect, a rubber content weight percentage that varies from 20 to 30% provides a relatively high compressibility. The compressed sheet gasketing material may further include one or more various fibers commonly used in high pressure sheet formulations.

Abstract: A water dispenser is adapted to be disposed in a kitchen wall partition that is formed with an opening and that has a sink unit disposed thereon. The water dispenser includes a housing retained in the opening, a pipe unit disposed in the housing to fluidly communicate with the sink unit, a heating unit disposed in the housing for boiling and storing water from the pipe unit, a face panel, and a control unit. The face panel is retained detachably on the housing, and has a hot water supply pipe extending from the heating unit into a dispensing cavity, and a drain unit connected to the sink unit. The control unit includes a heating circuit for controlling heating operation of the heating unit, a first valve for controlling water flow into the heating unit, and a second valve for controlling water flow through the hot water supply pipe.

Abstract: Systems and methods for writing and/or reading data to a point-to-point shared memory communication mechanism are provided according to embodiments disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a determination may be made whether a first memory location in the cache of a general purpose multi-core processor includes an empty symbol. If the first memory location includes the empty symbol, then data may be placed in the first memory location in the cache. If the first memory location does not include the empty symbol, then waiting until it does. In another embodiment, a determination may be made whether a first memory location of a general purpose multi-core processor includes the empty symbol. If it does not, then data may be read from the first memory location and/or the empty symbol may be written into the first memory location. If the first memory location does include the empty symbol, then pausing.

Abstract: A method of sterilizing a contact lens includes at least partially sterilizing the contact lens with an application of electrolyzed brine. A system for at least partially sterilizing a contact lens in initial packaging includes a generator for producing electrolyzed brine with biocidal activity, and a dispenser for dispensing a quantity of electrolyzed brine from the generator into the initial packaging with the contact lens.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for updating defined band ranges and maintaining backward compatibility of previously defined band ranges is described. A first band set that includes a first set of defined band ranges is received. A first map that includes the first set of defined band ranges is created. An intermediate integer is assigned to each defined band range in the first set. A second band set that includes a second set of defined band ranges is received. A second map that includes the second set of defined band ranges is created. The assignment of ranges to an intermediate integer is updated so as to support both the first set and the second set of defined band ranges.
