  • Patent number: 6201765
Abstract: The processing of surface seismic data may be monitored where vertical seismic profile data are available for the same region. A trace (45) of the vertical seismic profile data recorded from a geophone at the surface is compared with data generated by the data processing before completion of migration and provides a measure of the quality of the data processing. Alternatively, a derived trace may be derived by taking sections of the vertical seismic profile data traces along a section curve (47). The derived trace may be thought of as partially migrated data and may similarly be used for monitoring the quality of surface seismic data processing.

  • Patent number: 6198674
Abstract: Disclosed is a data strobe signal generator of the SDRAM device. The data strobe signal generator according to the present invention does not have to use a current output state signal generator, by using a pipe counter signal which has been issued at the previous read operation, thereby proving various advantages, such as simple circuit design, simple operation and small chip size. A data strobe signal generator in a SDRAM memory device, includes: a preamble controller for controlling a preamble state of a data strobe signal in response to a control signal; a plurality of pull-up/pull-down signal drivers for producing pull-up and pull-down signals through a toggling operation in response to previous pull-down and pull-up signals; and a data strobe signal driver for outputting the data strobe signal in response to the pull-up and pull-down signals.

  • Patent number: 6196037
Abstract: A dead bolt lock automatically blocks the extended bolt to prevent externally-applied force from thrusting the bolt back into the lock case, and in the event of physical attack the lock responds by prolonging or perpetuating the dead bolt blocking condition. A push-pull lock has a bolt whose motion in both directions is stopped in response to detection of a rise in motor current above a certain level: a cushioning arrangement allows the current-limiting feature to be implemented without risk of damage to the motor, gear teeth or other drive components. A re-locker arrangement includes an angled flange that is part of a motor-supporting bracket; when forcibly pressed, the flange breaks plastic pins to release a spring-biased re-locker wire to block the bolt from being withdrawn, and when the wire is in the dead bolting position an extension of the re-locker wire engages a ridge in the lock's case to prevent the re-locker from being manipulated back to its original position.

  • Patent number: 6197693
Abstract: Generally, after etching process for gate electrode patterning, oxidation process is performed to compensate for etching damage. There is provided a method for forming a gate electrode of a semiconductor device, which prevents the metal layer comprised of the gate electrode for being oxidized in such an oxidation process. In the present invention, a polysilicon layer is etched to form a gate electrode pattern and re-oxidation process is performed to compensate for the etching damage. After this, an inter-layer insulating layer is formed over the entire structure and partially removed so as to expose the polysilicon layer. A part of the polysilicon layer is then selectively removed to form an opening in the inter-layer insulating layer. Here, the other part of the polysilicon layer, which will be connected to a metal layer later, is exposed through the opening. The metal layer is then buried within the opening to complete the formation of the gate electrode made of poly-metal structure.

  • Patent number: 6196694
Abstract: An innovative, unique visual display for a powered car audio amplifier. The audio amplifier includes a transparent cover plate, preferably formed of methyl methacrylate, having a name or pattern etched or engraved in the undersurface of the cover plate. A black light or neon gas light tube surrounds an edge of the cover plate. The light produced from the black light or neon glass tube is transmitted through the cover plate and is collimated at the etched or engraved pattern in the cover plate. The pattern appears illuminated when the pattern is viewed through the cover plate without any visible source of light present. The light also appears to highlight the circuitry of the amplifier chassis located below the cover plate.

  • Patent number: 6198781
Abstract: Modulated and coded signals sequentially transmitted by orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing transmission are calibrated on the basis of a reference signal to obtain sequential first calibrated signals. Amplitude and phase differences of the sequential first calibrated signals are detected. The sequential first calibrated signals are calibrated on the basis of the amplitude and phase differences to obtain sequential second calibrated signals. The second signals are then decoded to obtain sequential decoded signals.

  • Patent number: 6198908
Abstract: A system and a method for transfer of a digital information carrying signal 51 between an input of a transmitter and an output of a receiver. The information carrying signal is modulated in a modulator included in the transmitter 12, and the modulated signal is transmitted via a transmission medium 13 by transmission means 25 connected to the modulator. The transmitted signal is received by receiving means 41 included in the receiver, and the received signal is demodulated in a demodulator. The information carrying signal is modulated in the modulator with a predetermined first modulation index h0, adapted for efficient use of an available bandwidth of said transmission medium. In the receiver 14 a frequency signal 63 is created from the received signal. Further, the frequency signal 63 is amplified with a factor A, for creating a scaled frequency signal 64, from which a scaled phase signal 65 is created.
