    Abstract: The invention relates to a system for signalling and locating vehicles involved in accidents, stopped vehicles and vehicles with mechanical problems in daytime and night-time conditions as well as in adverse weather conditions. According to the invention, the occupants of the vehicle can raise the alarm without leaving the vehicle such as to avoid any physical risk. The invention comprises a case and a hinged cover housing an air container. One end of the air container is connected to a gaseous fluid outlet pipe and to a manual quick-opening non-return valve which is located in the mouth of an empty aerostatic inflatable fluorescent body. The aforementioned body is folded inside the case when not in use and is deployed in the event of a vehicle impact by means of a device comprising an inertia sensor which is activated by a deceleration force exceeding 3G and which is powered by a power source comprising batteries or accumulators belonging to the electric circuit of the vehicle or independent batteries.

    Abstract: This invention relates to electron guns, each comprising of an indirectly heated cathode, a gate electrode and an anode, for generating electron beams of various shapes and power that are preferably used to machine workpieces. Thus cathodes can be used with various geometric designs. Thus cathodes of the most varied geometrical shapes can be used. Along with band cathodes and band cathodes with bodies attached to them, massive cathodes such as bolt-type cathodes can also be applied. Using massive bodies results in a longer service life of the cathode as compared to band cathodes. Another benefit is that the service life of the heat source for the cathode is identical to the service life of the laser used. It is particularly advantageous to place the laser outside the housing, which ensures a very long service life of this source of heat. At the same time, the solution according to the invention is distinguished by an indirect temperature measurement of the cathode.

The arm (4), boom (5) and capsule (6) are controlled in position by hydraulic means (9, 31, 33, 36, 40, 41, 52) to be manoeuvred into a required position to transfer personnel to the platform or decking (7) for example. In order to stabilise the position of the capsule (6) relative to the platform (7) the hydraulic means (9, 31, 33, 36, 40, 41, 52) is dynamically controlled to compensate for movement of the vessel (1) such that the capsule (6) will remain substantially in the selected spatial position relative to the platform (7). The capsule (6) may include a control system which enables an operator to statically position the capsule (6) through control of the overall systems.

These conditions are fulfilled by pressing the casting metal from a higher disposed storage container through the communicating channel pipe (8) into a pressure vessel (13) with a gas dome (20), where the casting metal is further transported through an immersion pipe (14), which immerses into the casting metal through the gas dome, into a substantially vertically oscillating independent continuous casting die (15) and where the casting strand formed is deflected in an arc from the vertical direction into the horizontal direction and is withdrawn.

    Abstract: A method is provided for production of steel in a basic converter employing liquid converter slag obtained as a final slag in the previous run, where roughly half of the slag from the preceding charge is left in the converter. The basicity of the initial slag is thus considerably increased and the slag is maintained preferably over the total converting process, but at least during the critical initial stage at the saturation level with respect to magnesium oxide and dicalcium orthosilicate. At a certain level of silicon content in the pig iron the process is operated with a predetermined slag amount for each ton of steel at the end of the blowing by adding to the initial melt or respectively at the beginning of blowing a certain amount of magnesium oxide expending on the silicon content of the pig iron together with the flux charge materials. This process considerably improves the lifetime of the converter lining.
