  • Patent number: 4842338
Abstract: A wheel is provided for a commercial vehicle which comprises a wheel disc having bolt holes in the region of the wheel mounting face for attaching the wheel disc to a wheel hub flange or to a brake drum by way of wheel bolts and intermediate disks surrounding the bolt holes directly and concentrically and which by themselves provide a support surface between wheel mounting face, wheel hub flange or, respectively, brake drum or dual wheel. The intermediate disks allow to avoid fretting corrosion in the support region of the wheel disc, stiffening of the wheel disc central region, avoiding of surface damage, and improvement of the bolting. The intermediate disks can be solidly attached to the wheel disc by way of adhesive disposed in between, by friction setting, or by casting.

  • Patent number: 4735551
Abstract: A radial blower is provided with a spiral shape casing, which has an input port for the medium to be moved and an output port for the medium to be delivered. The input port is disposed on the side of the casing in the direction of a spiral axis and where the center of the input port is displaced relative to the center of the spiral. The output port connects the start of the spiral section to the end of the spiral section and forms a connection piece. The output port according to the invention increases in its cross-section continuously while going from the connection point of the spiral to the outer end. Preferably a protruding nose is placed at the junction point of the output port and of the smaller radius side of the spiral for enhancing the pushing power of the fan blades versus the medium and for reducing the flow resistance of the output port to the medium stream.

  • Patent number: 4695315
Abstract: A method and a product is provided for reducing the reduction disintegration of iron ores and iron ore agglomerates. The raw iron ores or iron ore agglomerates are treated with materials containing halogen and preferably with halogenide solutions. The degree of the improvement of reducing disintegration in a reduction furnace such as a blast or low shaft furnace at temperatures from about 400 to 600 degrees centigrade depends on the concentration employed. The type of reagent has its particular effect, because the reagents contain stochiometrically different high proportions of halogens. It is found that reduction disintegration declines with the increased halogenide concentration in the pieces of ores or agglomerates employed. In order to minimize the amount of extraneous materials introduced, the lowest possible concentration is advantageously determined for each burden component.
