  • Patent number: 4512507
Abstract: A device for joining electronic transmission wire to electronic connectors is described that is designed to assist in joining wire to both male and female connectors. Holes are fitted in the device to accept the male connectors and pins are fitting on the device to accept the female connectors. Since most electronic connectors are small in size and require precision work, this device allows the operator using either a soldering, brazing or welding method to use both hands and concentrate on the intricate details of joining wire to the small electronic connectors.

  • Patent number: 4503849
Abstract: An arm restraint for temporarily restraining a patient's arm while drawing either venous or arterial blood is described. The restraint includes a rigid member with a concave cross section to accept an arm from the upper part of the arm to below the wrist. Adjustable and removable straps are at each end of the rigid member with securing straps attached through slots in the rigid member substantially in the middle of the rigid member. The securing straps can be used to attach the arm restraint to a bed rail, a blood collecting chair or the like. Spring clips are attached to the underside of the rigid member to attach a blood collecting tray. An open ended slot is available at one end of the rigid member through which a tourniquet passes and continues around the patient's upper arm.

  • Patent number: 4483052
Abstract: A machine tool attachment which provides for material handling, positioning, and clamping during machining and also eliminates the need for custom tool fixtures is described. The machine tool attachment mechanically advances material to be machined through a tubular tail stock and into a head stock. Collets located in the tail stock and head stock automatically power clamp the material and a rotary indexer automatically rotates and indexes the material during the machining operation. Once machining is completed, the material between the head stock and tail stock is further clamped by the attachment and then cut by the machine tool. Remaining material can then be advanced by the attachment and the process repeated. The machine tool attachment interfaces with a numerically controlled machining center which transmits signals to control the functions of the attachment for proper coordination with the machine tool.

  • Patent number: 4357118
Abstract: A connecting assembly consisting of a hub and a plurality of U shaped connecting members for joining the framework of geodesic domes is provided. The hub is formed from a hollow member containing a plurality of radial grooves designed to accept the rectangular end of framing members. The rectangular ends are secured in the grooves by the U shaped connecting members that wrap around the bottom of the grooves of the internal side of the hub and thereafter lie adjacent to the flat end of the framing members. Further, nails, screws or bolts can be used to secure the U shape connecting members to the rectangular ends of the framing members. The frame members extend radially from the center of the hub and are so arranged that the angle between the adjacent framing members is at least 40.degree.. The grooves are so designed that the attached framing members form an angle from 1.degree. to 14.degree. with a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the hub.
