  • Patent number: 8128089
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology provide a method of integrating radio frequency identification (RFID) and near field communication (NFC) to add excitement, features, automation or semi-automation, and digital connectivity to a traditional Bingo or lottery game. Any game of chance may be played using embodiments of the disclosed technology. Balls used for purposes of randomization comprise freely movable RFID tags situated therein. When a ball is chosen, such as when it is the first or only ball to pass through an exit tube of a mixing apparatus, its RFID tag (with data corresponding to indicia on the ball) is read, and appropriate action can be taken, such as to update a video screen accordingly, check Bingos, check lottery winning tickets, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 8048231
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology comprise a handheld cleaning device that sanitizes an item to be cleaned by, in a single action, dispensing ozone and ultrasonic wave cavitations in an aqueous medium that contains the object to be cleaned. The handheld device comprises a dipping end, which further comprises an ozone generator, dispensing ozone from the dipping end, and an ultrasonic wave generator generating ultrasonic cavitation in an aqueous medium. The device is configured to be held on a holding end, with a side opposite the holding end configured for dipping into an aqueous medium (e.g., water, cleaning fluid, liquids, etc.) which is contained in a vessel. The vessel is a concave structure capable of holding such aqueous medium, such as a sink, a bowl, a basin, and the like.

  • Patent number: 7982657
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology comprise a ground penetrating radio device and methods of use for obtaining greater resolution. This is achieved by measuring the composition/reflection off a homogeneous material (e.g., metal plate), determining coefficients to correct the measured/reflection in order to make the measurements look like an idealized reference signal, and then using these coefficients in a digital filter to correct measurements/a reflection off a heterogeneous material, such as a road surface. In this manner, the composition of the heterogeneous material is determined with greater accuracy.

  • Patent number: 7942809
Abstract: The flexible ultrasound wire delivered through an endoscope can bend through multiple radii and deliver ultrasonic energy to the business end of the working channel of an endoscope without requiring percutaneous incisions. The flexible ultrasonic wire is wire or fiber that can be flexed in any direction and is connected at one end to an ultrasonic transducer which is connected to an energy delivering device. An insulating layer between the flexible ultrasonic wire and a metallic working channel is non-metallic and resilient and operates to prevent unwanted fragmentation of the device and possible collateral soft tissue injuries.

  • Patent number: 7783526
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology, by way of a bidirectional transceiver, allow a user of a handheld device with phone and/or data service to place a bid in an auction for an item, whereby the user is charged for the bid, and both a phone service provider and auction provider receive at least a part of the proceeds. In this manner, unregistered (previously unknown to the auction provider) bids may be placed, with security on the part of the auction provider that the bid will be honored.

  • Patent number: 7739848
Abstract: An insulated building panel includes a male connector configuration as well as a female connector configuration that are both formed of generally bent surfaces. The male connector as well as the female connector extends outwardly from the side faces of an insulating foam core so that the foam is protected from damage. The male connector is formed by bending the metal edge into a generally U shaped configuration with the outer edge of the U bent downwardly towards the interior of the panel. The female connector is bent back almost towards itself and terminates in a curvilinear gutter portion. The female portion includes a detent edge that defines a shallow receptacle into which a male detent edge is inserted so as to lock the male and female connectors in a nested position, thereby securing two panels together.
