  • Patent number: 7851559
Abstract: Soft flame retardant thermoplastic compositions that are preferably halogen free and include a styrenic block copolymer having a low modulus, one or more of a polyolefin polymer or copolymer and an acrylate containing polymer or copolymer, one or more of a softener and plasticizer, an inorganic phosphorous-containing flame retardant, and optionally but preferably, a platelet filler such as a nanoclay or an organic modified clay. In a preferred embodiment, the phosphorous-containing flame retardant has a surface coating thereon which reduces sensitivity of the flame retardant to water, and thus reduces the amount of the flame retardant that can leach out in the presence of water, thereby enabling the compositions of the present invention to be utilized outdoors or other environments where exposure to water or high humidity is possible. The hardness of the compositions according to the invention preferably ranges from about Shore A 40 to about Shore A 90.

  • Patent number: 7847026
Abstract: A blend of epoxy resins includes a) an epoxy resin composition derived from the reaction of a liquid epoxy resin, a carboxyl terminated butadiene (CTB), and a carboxyl terminated polybutadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBN) and/or a random and terminal carboxyl functional polybutadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBNX), and b) unreacted epoxy resin. The carboxyl terminated butadiene is miscible with the unreacted epoxy resin and does not separate therefrom even upon aging. Upon cure as with a latent cure agent, a toughened epoxy resin is produced having unexpected good low temperature properties such as peel strength.

  • Patent number: 7833225
Abstract: A partially threaded compression wire with a trocar insertion point is inserted into a first bone fragment and a mating button is crimped into position on the wire to cause compression between the first bone fragment and a second bone fragment. A cannulated instrument applies tension to the wire and crimps the button. In a second embodiment, the wire further includes an internally threaded screw or helix. In the related method, the threaded wire is implanted ante grade or retrograde into the first bone segment and a button is crimped to the wire to apply compression to a second bone segment either cutaneously or percutaneously.

  • Patent number: 7810396
Abstract: A test device for an electronic product includes a vertical pressing pole having a pushing end. The test device also includes a movable platform with a sticking point, wherein upward movement of the movable platform moves the vertical pressing pole upwards by the sticking point. The vertical pressing pole passes through a balance weight which rests on the sticking point. A pressurized platform bears pressure from the pushing end, when the pushing end is pushed onto the pressurized platform. A load-bearing platform supports the pressurized platform and the electronic product located below the pressurized platform. The product is pressed between the pressurized platform and the load-bearing platform due to the pressure from the pushing end lying on the pressurized platform. When the movable platform is further moved downwards after the pushing end is on the pressurized platform, the sticking point bearing the balance weight is separate from the movable platform.

  • Patent number: 7793966
Abstract: Disclosed is a plug-in coupling system for joining cables between a tractor and a trailer. The invention also relates to the individual components, i.e. the semitrailer coupling and the plug-in connector on which the invention is implemented. The cables between the tractor and the trailer are usually plugged into each other by hand. Automatic systems have not been successful on the market so far. The aim of the invention is therefore to create a plug-in coupling system which allows the supply cables to be connected in a comfortable and operationally safe manner when the trailer is joined to and disconnected from the tractor. Said aim is achieved, among other things, by disposing the socket in a stationary manner below the insertion hole on the semitrailer coupling while arranging the contact points of the plug below the king pin on the plug-in connector.

  • Patent number: 7780313
Abstract: A package structure for light emitting diode (LED) comprises a base, an LED die, an optical lens and a lens holder. The base comprises at least one holder cavity formed on its surface and at least one chase formed on its side surface. The lens holder comprises an opening, at least one holder stem and at least one wedge. The optical lens is arranged between the lens holder and the base, and also through the opening. The lens holder is fastened on the base by wedging the wedge with the chase and positioned on the base by embedding the holder stem into the holder cavity to enhance the positioning between the optical lens and the base, such that the optical lens can generate a desired light pattern. Therefore, the required time of a packaging process can be reduced, and the lens holder can be removed simply for replacing the optical lens, so the objective of changing the light pattern quickly can be achieved.
