Abstract: An ergonomic support mountable on various seat frames has a static portion with anchors and mounts. The mounts adapt to fix said static portion to varying seat frames. An active portion is operatively engaged with the anchors of the static portion such that the active portion can move in and out of a plane defined by the frame of the seat. The active portion has a pressure surface with a smooth base level. There are convexities in the base level that impart a massage effect on a seat occupant. At least one actuator engages the active portion but only by an actuating linkage.
Abstract: An ergonomic weight support device for a seat has a flexible pressure plate attached to an extending paddle for lumbar support. The paddle extends from a housing having a channel into which the paddle may be retracted for the lumbar support to be flat, or from which the paddle may be extended for lumbar support. The flexible pressure plate distributes lumbar supporting pressure across a greater area for comfort.
