  • Patent number: 5932800
Abstract: A device for testing the viscosity of a fluid contained in a cartridge comprising a tubular housing, a pair of end caps, one end cap being configured for operable connection to a piston and cylinder assembly, and the other end cap being configured to receive an adapter that is connectable to the cartridge and to a plug having an orifice of a predetermined diameter through which the fluid in the cartridge may be extruded.

  • Patent number: 5868098
Abstract: A hay spear is adapted to provide for the transportation and maneuvering of hay bale rings. A hay bale ring is generally placed over round bales of hay left in a feeding area for cows, requiring the cows to put their heads through openings in the ring to reach the hay and, in this manner, preventing cows from trampling and wasting the hay. The hay bales themselves are commonly transported with the use of a tractor fitted with a hydraulic lift and a hay bale spear, for attaching to and moving a bale of hay. In the past, the rings have been moved from bale to bale manually, which is necessarily a dirty job due to the messy nature of such feeding areas. The hay bale ring mover allows for the use of a tractor and hydraulic lift in moving and positioning the ring as well as the hay bale. The hay bale ring mover has attached hooks so that a tractor can be backed up into a ring, with the hooks and the spear passing through the openings in the ring.

  • Patent number: 5642971
Abstract: A truck bed railing system including a bracket with depending legs with holes in the legs so that the brackets may be attached to the top of the rear side panel of a truck bed with screws. The top of said bracket has a U-shaped profile to mate with standard PVC pipe with the pipe serving as the bed rails. A metal sleeve fits in the cradle of the bracket. The sleeve is a hollow cylinder that holds the PVC pipe securely against the U-shaped upper portion of the bracket. Once the PVC pipe has been threaded through the sleeve, it is anchored with a screw passing through the sleeve, the pipe and the bracket, and further secured with a nut on the underside of the bracket. The brackets are designed to secure the railing to the truck bed. The brackets are placed on top of the side panels running the length of the truck bed, from the truck's cab to its tailgate.

  • Patent number: 5624129
Abstract: A retractable tongue for a boat trailer, the retractable tongue including a slide and a slide housing, the slide being pivotally connected to the slide housing by a pin fitted through elongated slots in each side of the slide housing. The structure is enclosed in a housing to protect it from the elements and the housing has holes on each side of it through which a locking bar can be passed to lock the retractable tongue in a dropped down, inoperable position to thwart unauthorized use of the trailer. When the locking bar is removed, the slide can be rotated into an operable position and slid forward and locked into position for towing. A coupler is attached to the free end of the slide to provide a brake actuator between the towing vehicle and the trailer.

  • Patent number: 5568907
Abstract: A dynamic wrist rest for use with a computer keyboard for the prevention of carpel tunnel syndrome is provided. The wrist rest provides for a constant up and down motion of the wrist through an internally mounted pressure sensitive air bladder. The up and down motion can also be provided by a motor and gear driven belt and pulley system that provides a lower speed and high torque which functions to rotate a roller along the interior surface of the support surface of the wrist rest thus creating the up and down motion. The up and down motion can also be provided by a motor driven, internally mounted oblong roller that is mounted for rotation about its axis.

  • Patent number: 5567897
Abstract: A string tension adjustment device for electric guitars, and particularly for use in conjunction with guitars having a bolt-on neck. The string tension adjustment device includes a body which holds the mechanism for applying the additional tension to a guitar string and the body is attached to a traditional guitar with bolt-on neck by removing the bolts that connect the neck to the body of the guitar, placing the body of the string tension adjustment device so that holes passing through it are in registry with the holes that receive the bolts for attaching the neck of the guitar to the body of the guitar and reassembling the entire mechanism by the bolts passing through the existing holes so that there is no necessity of impairing the integrity of the instrument.
