  • Patent number: 7029021
Abstract: The specification discloses several embodiments of an interlocking device. The specification discloses a preferred embodiment of an interlocking device having an inner bar slideable within the confines of an outer bar. The outer bar has a first end and a second end. When the inner bar slides towards the second end of the outer bar, a plug, which is attached to the inner bar, is adapted to abut a plug barrier thereby preventing the inner bar from sliding towards the second end. The outer bar of the interlocking device further defines an interlocking member passage and an interlocking member stop. The interlocking device further has an interlocking member attached to the inner bar. When the inner bar slides towards the first end of the outer bar, at least a portion of the interlocking member moves transverse to the sliding axis of the inner bar and into the interlocking member passage.

  • Patent number: 7004518
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a door handle assembly is provided comprising a door handle having a roller and attached to a mount. An actuator is attached to the mount and has a first surface and an actuator projection. The door handle assembly also comprises a bolt moveable from a first bolt position where at least a portion of the bolt is inside a wall aperture, thereby engaging the door into the wall aperture, to a second bolt position where the portion of the bolt is outside the wall aperture, thereby disengaging the door from the wall aperture. The bolt has an actuator opening, the actuator passing therethrough. The roller buts the first surface and may travel from a first roller position to a second roller position when the door handle is pushed, thereby retracting the bolt from the first bolt position to the second bolt position.

  • Patent number: 6955601
Abstract: A gaming device for playing a game by a game player. The gaming device allows the game player to place a telephone call. A controller generates a prize. Several images of persons who may receive the telephone call are displayed to the game player. The telephone call is placed to one of the images. The prize is announced by the selected image to the game player. A second telephone call is placed to a telephone number in order to select a multiplier. The controller generates the multiplier. The multiplier is the last digit of the telephone number. The prize is multiplied by the multiplier to obtain a total prize.

  • Patent number: 6921182
Abstract: A first set of orange LEDs with a peak wavelength emission of about 612 nanometers, a second set of red light emitting LEDs with a peak wavelength of about 660 nanometers, and blue light LEDs. Two beam spreads, 15° and 30°, were provided for both the 660 nm LEDs and 612 nm LEDs. When directed perpendicularly upon tops of the plant leaves, 10% light transmission occurred through the leaves for the 30° LEDs, and 80% light transmission for the 15° LEDs. Thus, fully 50% of the orange/red spectrum primarily used for photosynthesis was transmitted through the upper leaf canopy, making it available to support photosynthesis in leaves below. LED lamps are positioned at varying distances from the growing plants for controlling plant growth rates that vary with these distances, thereby to control plant inventory, because growth of plants can be greatly slowed to preserve them during periods of slow sales.

  • Patent number: 6915012
Abstract: The present invention comprises a system for communicating image data and other data. The system comprises a JPEG file having a JPEG data, at least one non-JPEG data, and a computer. The computer is programmed to read a predetermined number of sequential bytes of the non-JPEG data. The computer is also programmed to determine position of each byte in the sequential bytes that contain a JPEG marker and determine a locator byte, which is capable of indicating the position of any bytes in the sequential bytes that contain a JPEG marker. The computer is further programmed to write the locator byte in the JPEG file and write encoded bytes in the JPEG file. The computer writes the encoded bytes in the JPEG file in a manner wherein, for each byte in the sequential bytes, if the byte does not contain a JPEG marker, each byte is replaced with a bit, preferably written as 0, in the order of the byte's occurrence in the sequential bytes.
