Abstract: A foam-generating kit contains a non-aerosol container with a foam-generating dispenser and a high surfactant composition, preferably within the container. The high surfactant composition comprises, by weight of the high surfactant composition, at least 20% of a surfactant system. When the foam-generating dispenser is employed with the high surfactant composition, the foam-generating dispenser generates a foam having a foam to weight ratio of greater than about 2 mL/g.

Abstract: A pouch, and a process for making thereof, comprising the steps of: pre-sealing a compartment comprising a pouch material, the compartment containing an anhydrous composition to form a pre-sealed compartment; fitting a first piece of the pouch material into a mould, pouring a particulate dishwashing product into the mould; placing the pre-sealed compartment over the mould; sealing the pre-sealed compartment and said first piece of pouch material together to form the multi-compartment pouch.

Abstract: A method of washing dishware/tableware in an automatic dishwashing machine, the method comprising simultaneously or sequentially delivering quantities of a particulate or densified particulate automatic dishwashing product and of an anhydrous liquid, gel or paste form dishwashing detergent auxiliary contained in separate compartments of a multi-compartment pouch into the same or different cycles of the dishwashing machine. The method provides improved cleaning performance and product stability.

Abstract: A water-soluble pouch suitable for use in machine dishwashing and which comprises a plurality of compartments in generally superposed or superposable relationship, each containing one or more detergent active or auxiliary components, and wherein the pouch has a volume of from about 5 to about 70 ml and a longitudinal/transverse aspect ratio in the range from about 2:1 to about 1:8, preferably from about 1:1 to about 1:4. The water-soluble pouch allows for optimum delivery of dishwashing detergent. A process for the manufacture of multi-compartment pouches and a pack to contain the pouches are also disclosed.
