  • Patent number: 5438189
Abstract: A tape-cassette of the now popularly standardized dual transfer-spool type, having identical top and bottom mating halves, including a slightly raised mesial anterior portion, having a pair of anterior aperatures for entry of a capstan-drive roller apposed to a central anterior aperture for entry of an electromagnetic-head. Wherein is provided a special "anti-jam" perimeter-declivity formation serving to ameliorate occasional jamming tendancy known to the standard squared perimeter cross-section manner of construction. The notably smooth-running characteristics of this otherwise successful cassette configuration are not in any way compromised, while now rendered virtually care-free as to loading procedure, even in a darkened room.

  • Patent number: 5367985
Abstract: An aquarium air-manifold having modular-construction provision, serving to beautify the typical aquarium by virtually eliminating the usual entanglement of multiple air/feed-lines visibly extending down the inside wall of the aquarium. Preferably molded of transparent-plastic to a squared-tubular cross-section, the manifold can be formed into a grid like format, and several modules may be plugged together to cover as large an area on the floor of the aquarium as may be desired. The air-manifold preferably draws upon only a single air/input-line, while serving a plurality of provisional outlets. Each outlet may either adapted with a plug or an outlet-fitting, thereby enabling the aquarium designer to create any convenient arrangement of outlets as may be desired for the particular aquadic-environment.

  • Patent number: 5326269
Abstract: An improved quiz-game like educational apparatus, exhibiting entertainment-value qualities suitable for one or more players of virtually all ages, via a reference-library of subjects. A thin planar 61/2".times.10" housing, contains an elementary hard-wired or printed electrical-circuit, powered by a harmless drycell-battery. The operating panel is vertically divided into discrete question-terminals on the left, correspondingly scrambled answer-terminals on the right; preferably including at least one supernumerary answer-terminal, making selection more improbable as to obviousness when approaching the last question. The panel preferably includes a special off/on-switch, having more than one `on`-position in order to further confound a player as to learned sequence familarity of Q&A-terminals; each Q&A/overlay-sheet forcing the protruding switch slide-stalk to be indexed into a different circuit-scramble.
