  • Patent number: 5738263
Abstract: A disposable plastic back pack is formed from a thin sheet of plastics material. The sheet has a generally rectangular body portion that has a top edge, a bottom edge, and ends, and an elongated tail portion divided into two sections. The disposable back pack also includes a second sheet of thin plastic material that is generally rectangular in shape. The body portion is folded over onto itself at its ends forming a longitudinal flap extending from the top edge to the bottom edge, and the tail sections are folded over the folded body portion so that the distal ends of the tail sections are aligned with the top edge of the body portion. The second sheet of plastics material is then placed adjacent to and aligned with the unfolded side of the body portion of the first sheet of plastics material.

  • Patent number: 5727732
Abstract: An aerosol delivery wand has an elongated hollow tube with proximal and distal ends. A compressed air valve is provided for selectively delivering a stream of compressed air from a compressed air source to the proximal end of the tube. A tubular injector extends through the wall of the hollow tube and into the interior thereof adjacent the distal end of the hollow tube. The interior portion of the injector has sides that are contoured in the shape of an airfoil to define spaced air passageways with the interior walls of the hollow tube. The end of the injector within the hollow tube is cut to be substantially parallel to and spaced from the distal end of the hollow tube so as to define a mixing chamber between the end of the injector and the distal end of the hollow tube. Compressed air flowing through said hollow tube causes liquid to be drawn through the injector and into the mixing chamber where it is entrained in the air flow and projected from the wand as an uniformly distributed aerosol.

  • Patent number: 5709408
Abstract: Motorized shoulder and lap belts are moved to restraining positions by a drive belt along a track around a doorway of a vehicle. A catch in a slot in the drive belt engages the shoulder belt to move with the lap belt which is attached to the drive belt. An adjustable height stop in the track stops and disengages the shoulder belt in the shoulder belt restraining position from the catch while the lap belt continues to move and stops in the lap belt restraining position. A persons weight in a seat of the vehicle and closing the vehicle door, if the vehicle ignition is turned on, activates a switch which moves the shoulder and lap belts into their restraining positions. With the person seated, the shoulder and lap belts are retracted by turning the vehicle ignition off, or by activating a switch located in the vehicle door handle, door post, or elsewhere in the vehicle. Sleeves located near where the shoulder and lap belts enter retractors are disposed around ends of the shoulder and lap belts.

  • Patent number: 5704284
Abstract: An equalizer assembly that integrates into the die cutting station of a press and comprises two hydraulic actuators, each of which interacts with one of the jackscrews of the press to create an internal hydraulic pressure. The internal pressure of a first of the hydraulic actuators corresponds to a loading force that is imparted upon the rotary cutting die proximate to a first end of the rotary cutting die, and the internal pressure of a second of the hydraulic actuators corresponds to a loading force that is imparted upon the rotary cutting die proximate to a second end of the rotary cutting die. The hydraulic actuators are in fluid communication with one another such that the hydraulic pressures therein are maintained substantially equal to define an overall system hydraulic pressure, and the hydraulic actuators are designed and arranged so that the loading forces generated thereby are substantially equal.
