  • Patent number: 4522393
Abstract: A game made up of sixteen levels of criss-crossed platform blocks, each block being identical in length, width and height with every other block. The blocks, composed of material which has a weight and sliding characteristic which permits them to be easily removed from the stack, are pulled out one-at-a-time, from anywhere below the existing top layer at the respective players' discretion, then reinstated at an appropriate position back atop the stack. The process continues until one player is eliminated by reason of his or her induction of the collapse of the stack. A setup rack for the game, which may also serve as a storage and carrying case, is included.

  • Patent number: 4509554
Abstract: There is disclosed a coupling device, which can be connected or disconnected quickly, capable of operation in both high and low pressure environments, and in applications where shock and extreme vibration may be present. Interconnection is accomplished via complimentarily-threaded male and female members. These members each contain an inner and outer valve assembly, arranged in such a manner that the inner valves open prior to the opening of the outer valves, thus permitting equalization of pressure (termed "venting") to develop between the male and female sides of the coupling before fluid flow is initiated. Ease of manufacture is facilitated through modularized valving and spring biased structure, while the device's symmetrical design allows for complete reversability of inputs and outputs. The instant coupling is intended for use with hydraulic and/or other types of fluid flow lines, particularly where said lines may be under pressure.

  • Patent number: 4502484
Abstract: A surgical saw including a shank extension is adapted for securement within a reciprocating power handle held within the hand of a surgeon. The saw comprises an elongated, concave, curved, relatively thin blade, the blade having X-, Y-, and Z- axes, the concave curve of the blade beginning on the X-axis at about 60% of the length thereof while turning into the Z-axis and, at about 80% of the length of said blade, also turning into the Y-axis, wherein the concave curve of the blade will thereby follow the anatomic curve of the nasal-maxillary junction, the blade also defining a plurality of cutting teeth along the inferior cross-sectional edge of the XY plane of such teeth.
