Abstract: Described herein is a facsimile to voice over IP adapter for the real-time reliable transmission of audio messages using HTTP, the voice over IP adapter having audio adapter interfaces, the audio adapter interfaces capable of receiving a audio encoded facsimile data stream; ethernet adapter interfaces, the ethernet adapter interface capable of transmitting an HTTP encoded facsimile image; a fax processor, the real-time fax processor capable of receiving a one or more audio streams from the audio adapter interface and packetizing the one or more audio streams into an HTTP encode facsimile image; where the facsimile is capable of being transmitted from a source facsimile machine through an voice over IP adapter, and further transmitted to a destination facsimile machine.

Abstract: The present inventive subject matter is the method of use as well as a device or fixture for positioning and manipulating a patient's lower extremity for surgical and diagnostic procedures where alignment is critical and minute adjustments may be required. Once firmly attached to the operating table, the device prevents the patient's extremity from moving after the physician has selected the precise position for the elected procedure. This is achieved by a combination of a fracture reduction plate, posts, shimming blocks and an articulating and rotating frame or cradle with an adjustable and lockable rack and gear configuration and pivot joints attached to a foot assembly which acts as a leg and foot splint. The cradle is attached to the patient via a series of adjustable straps preventing the extremity from moving independently of the cradle.

Abstract: A boat holding tank for anesthetizing fish is described having a pulsator, with the pulsator having an anode output and a cathode output; a holding tank capable of receiving an aquatic animal, the holding tank further comprising an anode probe and a cathode probe, with the anode cathode probe of the holding tank switchably connected to the anode and cathode output of the pulsator, such that when the pulsator is activated the aquatic animal in the holding tank is anesthetized.

Abstract: An integrated smoking device that provides a bowl for holding smoking material, an ignition source, and a mechanism for delivering ignitable fuel near the smoking material. A user control may trigger both flow and ignition of fuel. The device may include a cover for storing smoking material in the bowl when not in use. The device may be adapted for easy storage of the device in a shirt or pants pocket.

Abstract: A vehicle body and vehicle frame assembly is disclosed that includes a complete rolling chassis with wheels, motor, drive train, transmission and all other components found in contemporary automotive vehicles with the addition of a scissor lift situated in the center of the vehicle frame that is connected to the chassis frame at the lower end and to the body of the vehicle at the upper end through a frame and turntable device. Controls are used to lower, elevate and rotate the body of the vehicle relative to the chassis, so that observers may readily view the chassis components.

Abstract: The present invention provides bottle sleeves for bottles, such as beverage bottles. Bottle sleeves of the present invention include a rib. In one embodiment of the present invention, the bottle sleeves comprise a sleeve sidewall including a partially cylindrical sidewall section and a rib, wherein the sidewall is continuous with the rib. In another embodiment of the present invention the bottle sleeves comprise a substantially cylindrical sidewall and a rib such that the rib overlaps the sidewall. Ribs of the present invention include at least one rib stiffener that is positioned inside the rib interior.

Abstract: A new and improved instrument bow for use with a stringed instrument is provided. A unique new instrument bow is provided that may be constructed with a laminate material and/or composite in combination with a wooded material to form the instrument bow. Additionally, the new instrument bow uses a laminate composite such as carbon fiber to form a single piece construction instrument bow for use in conjunction with a stringed instrument. The instrument bow may be a combination of a synthetic material covered with a wooded material in a single piece construction that will provide the instrument bow with increased resilience and strength without the necessity for reinforcement and/or repair.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for applying drywall tape and grouting compound to drywall. The invention is operative to simplify the application of drywall tape and an appropriate amount of grouting compound to a joint. Conveniently, the device is placed on a standard size tub of drywall grouting compound, such that compound adheres the drywall tape as it is drawn through the device by one applying tape to a joint to be filled. Various embodiments of the present invention permit the easy application of tape and compound to joints on flat surfaces as well as in corners.

Abstract: A smoking device having an integrated lighter, a bowl for holding tobacco, and a duct for drawing smoke like a pipe. The device consists of a ignition switch located on the side of the pipe in natural proximity to the thumb, a piezo-electric ignition system, a flammable gas delivery system, a bowl for holding smoking material, and an aperature for drawing tobacco.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel way of building walls using lightweight lava blocks without mortar in a three step procedure, fabricating the light weight lava block, setting the block and then filling the block with a lava and cement mixture or slurry.

Abstract: An arrangement which utilizes an inexpensive flap valve/flow transducer combination and a simple local supervisory control system to monitor and/or control the operation of a positive displacement pump used to extract petroleum from geologic strata. The local supervisory control system controls the operation of an electric motor which drives a reciprocating positive displacement pump so as to maximize the volume of petroleum extracted from the well per pump stroke while minimizing electricity usage and pump-off situations. By reducing the electrical demand and pump-off (i.e., “pounding” or “fluid pound”) occurrences, operating and maintenance costs should be reduced sufficiently to allow petroleum recovery from marginally productive petroleum fields. The local supervisory control system includes one or more applications to at least collect flow signal data generated during operation of the positive displacement pump.

Abstract: A pipe handling system is disclosed with an elongated base that is dimensioned to receive and support a movable tray in a position parallel to the base with at least two degrees of freedom of movement. The movable tray is also dimensioned to receive at least one section of pipe, and one end of the movable tray is separable from the base with a pipe positioner slidably disposed in the movable tray for transporting pipe and with a loader disposed adjacent to the movable tray that receives and feeds a section of pipe into the tray. The pipe handling system may include a movable tray having at least three degrees of freedom of movement The pipe handling system may include loaders that are extendable from the base.
