  • Patent number: 6741936
Abstract: A sound intensity prediction system predicts the sound intensity created from a noise event and determines, on a three-dimensional basis taking into account cross winds and a moving noise source, the concentration of acoustic ray end points on land to indicate areas of noise intensification zones and where acoustic rays never touch down to indicate areas of quiet.

  • Patent number: 4298654
Abstract: A powdered, free-flowing elastomer is prepared by mixing, in a preferred embodiment, a nitrile latex with sodium carboxymethylcellulose until the mixture thickens, adding the latex mixture to a coagulant solution with agitation, also adding polyvinyl chloride coating latex to the coagulant solution, filtering the liquid, drying the filter cake, and recovering the product having an average particle size of less than about 1 millimeter. During coagulation, the cellulose salt is converted to the insoluble aluminum CMC gel.

  • Patent number: 4119592
Abstract: Rubbery bladders are produced by rotational casting a liquid polymer composition containing (1) an epoxy resin, (2) a liquid carboxyl-terminated polymer, (3) an amine, (4) a dihydric compound, and (5) a plasticizer. In order to obtain the desired flex and tear properties, the equivalent ratio of the other reactants to epoxy must be from about 0.70 to about 1.15. The valve area of the bladder is reinforced with a spun bonded fabric.

  • Patent number: 4018847
Abstract: Flexible coating compositions comprise (A) 100 parts by weight of at least one amine-terminated liquid polymer; (B) from about 10 to about 50 parts by weight of at least one epoxy resin; (C) from about 20 to about 100 parts by weight of at least one phenol-aldehyde resin. The compositions can be applied in liquid form by brushing, dipping, spraying or the like, and cured at room temperature or by heating.
