  • Patent number: 6007282
Abstract: A cargo restraining device for use in grooved truck beds, especially for use with grooved bed liners commonly used in pick up trucks. The restraining device includes a lower portion which protrudes downwardly into the grooves of the truck bed and an upper portion which is a platform member affixed to the downward protrusions. By placing the platform in a position to contact the cargo to be restrained and engaging the downward protrusions into the bed grooves, movement of the cargo will be inhibited. Additional verticality for the device can be achieved by making the platform thicker or by adding at least one vertical member. The downward protrusions can be designed to engage a variety of bed-liner-groove configurations.

  • Patent number: 4194346
Abstract: An apparatus for separating intermixed heavier and lighter materials of varied dimension and mass-to-area ratios, being particularly adapted to harvesting fallen nuts intermixed with leaves and other foreign matter. The separator element is used where the fruit and foreign matter are being borne in a common air stream by means of imposing the separator in said air stream whereby a perforated surface on said separator carries the debris in a direction opposite from the movement of the fruit towards a collection zone. The debris is carried away from the separator zone by the mechanical action of the moving surface in addition to the debris carrying propensity of the air stream.

  • Patent number: 4057925
Abstract: A fishing lure retrieving unit of substantial and rugged construction for the retrieval of artificial fishing lures that become snagged or fouled on underwater objects, such as logs, rocks or underwater vegetation. The retrieving unit is provided with several forward grappling hooks of comparatively heavy gauge metal for the purpose of bringing the submarine obstruction to the surface with the lure intact, thereby minimizing any damage to the lure itself. In those cases where the obstruction, due to its physical mass or physical features cannot be brought to the surface by the grappling hooks, the device is provided with secondary hooking means for the purpose of engaging the barrel or snap swivel attached near the nose of the fishing lure, thereby permitting its retrieval by forceably pulling the hook through or around the underwater object.
