  • Patent number: 4801817
Abstract: An economical method for converting video images into binary form and then storing the binary representations onto disks designed for binary data. A single image will fit onto a single track of the disk. A new method of modulating analog video signals and converting them to binary signals is disclosed. The converted images are then stored in binary form on disks designed for personal computers. A directory of stored images can be maintained on a separate disk under the control of a personal computer. The disk for storing the video images is under the control of a microprocessor.
