Abstract: 4-Carboxy-2-aryloxyphenoxyalkyl substituted heterocycle compounds which are effective for the selective control of grass weed species in the presence of crops are described. Also described are a method for the selective herbicidal use of the compounds and methods for their preparation.
Abstract: There are provided fungicidal 2,2-diaryl-1-(oxa and thia)-2a-azonia-2-borataacenaphthene compounds having the structural formula ##STR1## Further provided are compositions and methods comprising those compounds for the protection of plants from fungal infestation and disease.
Abstract: There are provided novel 5(and/or 6)substituted 2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl) and 2-(2-imidazolidinyl)nicotinic acids, esters and salts, which are useful as herbicidal agents. There are also provided novel substituted pyrrolopyridine acetonitriles, pyrrolopyridine acetamides, imidazopyrrolopyridinediones and carbamoylnicotinic acid esters, that are useful as intermediates for the preparation of the above said herbicidal agents.
