  • Patent number: 6185920
Abstract: A self-propelled utility tractor having articulated steering, a standing operator, a turning radius near the rear wheel on the inside of a full turn, the radius of turn being not substantially longer than the wheel base, independent rear wheel brakes to assist in tight turns, a steering wheel for operating a steering linkage, an engine and transmission, centrally mounted with the engine below the transmission transmitting power by a jack shaft so the out put shaft of the engine extends down to power an attachment. Where the attachment is a mower deck, a rear discharge chute on the tractor deflects the clippings uniformly across the rear to avoid wind rowing. Flexible elements rotate above the mower blade to provide additional mulching and turbulent air flow and self-cleaning of the underside of the deck.

  • Patent number: 6006485
Abstract: A building construction assembly comprises a plurality of vertical columns that cooperate with a plurality of horizontal beams to collectively define a substantially planar frame border of a building. The vertical columns are in the form of upright trusses having a first upstanding member formed with a pair of angle irons. Each of the angle irons has a first projecting leg and a second projecting leg. The first projecting legs extend inwardly relative to the border in spaced parallel relation and the second projecting legs extend in opposite directions along a common line. A support clip is attached to the first upstanding member for supporting an associated horizontal beam in such a position that the outer facing surfaces of the horizontal beam and the first upstanding member defines the substantially planar border. The support clip is defined by a plate for supporting the associated horizontal beam and a load-bearing flange for retaining the horizontal beam.

  • Patent number: 5775395
Abstract: A vacuum fixture table is set up to establish a vacuum with the surface of the table so one side of a workpiece can be subject to a cutting operation. It also holds wooden panels in conjunction with a template holding frame without nailing or clamping, thus preventing damage to template and speeding up the cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 5683352
Abstract: An apparatus and method for self-administered physiotherapeutic treatment and exercise of the human body in which an elongated loop shaped bar has a first distal end portion connected by a curvilinear portion to a straight portion on one side of the loop to a second curvilinear portion in a second distal end portion defining a gap wide enough to accommodate a portion of the user's body which can be remotely manipulated by the user from another part of the bar.

  • Patent number: 5611455
Abstract: A relatively heavy, free standing dispenser for continuous rolled plastic sheet material separable by tear lines. The roll is supported in a vertical position and is unwound by a steady force applied to the running end which extends through an opening of the dispenser. A sudden force is applied to separate individual sheets when the tear line passes the opening. The mass of the dispenser acts through the roll on the running end to oppose this force causing each sheet to separate cleanly beyond the opening.

  • Patent number: 5503371
Abstract: An article and method of maintaining wooden fence posts from attack by landscaping equipment in which the base of the post is encircled with a hard plastic cuff having a smoother surface than the post such that string cutters used in edging around the fence post create a smoother and cleaner cut of the vegetation with the cuff as a backing while protecting the post from attack by the tip of the string element.

  • Patent number: 5201629
Abstract: A self-propelled, counterbalanced, container transporter vehicle having a frame, a counterweight supported at the rear, an elevating upright, carriage pick-up and lift frame assembly for lifting, transporting and stacking containers in which a tower structure supports a cab providing an operator's station with controls for hydraulically raising and lowering the upright, the cab has a wide angle front window area that partially wraps around the operator's station to permit a horizontal line of sight to the maximum extension of the lift frame and is sloped back to afford high angle vision to the maximum vertical extension of the upright for high stacking containers.

  • Patent number: 3938605
Abstract: A track suspension for a track laying vehicle having a pair of endless tracks, one on each side of the vehicle body, independently driven by drive sprockets at the front. Each track suspension unit has an elongated suspension beam pivoted at one end behind the drive sprocket and sprung at the opposite end to the vehicle body providing a major suspension primarily responding to major changes in ground reaction forces. Inside each track and supported on the beam are trucks, each having a walking beam pivotally mounted on the suspension beam and providing a minor oscillatory suspension motion responding to minor changes on ground reaction forces.

  • Patent number: 3938401
Abstract: A two-speed control for dual hydrostatic motors, especially for self-propelled, skid-steered loaders having hydrostatic transmissions. Each motor has a rotating piston group and a swash plate inclinable in either of two positions of piston displacement for low or high speed output. A shift lever connects the swash plate control arms of the motors with a manual selector lever biased by an over-center spring mechanism to either the high or low speed position. The shift lever has a slide and guide connection with one swash plate control arm and pivotally connects to the other in an arrangement which automatically locks the swash plates in the proper attitude in either shifted position of the slide and guide connection corresponding to the low or high speed range. Two variable displacement hydrostatic pumps, one associated with each motor, are independently controlled by a pair of control levers operable to vary the pump displacement within both the high and low speed ranges of the motors.

  • Patent number: 3931687
Abstract: An ejector roller and guide arrangement having a pair of rollers beveled on their outer edges, one on each side of the ejector frame, which travel between horizontal upper and lower tracks mounted on the pusher frame. The beveled edges of the rollers ride on inwardly angled surfaces of the track. Separate rollers on inwardly angled axes of rotation roll on separate track secured to the side walls of the bowl having outwardly angled surfaces. The longitudinally spaced rollers provide lateral and vertical guidance of the ejector in moving into and out of the scraper bowl for ejection of the earth material.
