  • Patent number: 7176787
Abstract: Means for disabling an automobile by causing an on-board computer to disable the ignition system thereof. A radio receiver provides a signal to the on-board computer through an existing port (e.g. diagnostic port or ignition interface port). The on-board computer disables ignition function through supplanted firmware that recognizes the status of the signal received from the radio receiver. Removal of the radio receiver also disables the ignition system. The entire system is installed during government required inspections (e.g. a smog check).

  • Patent number: 7154036
Abstract: A bird guard comprising pivotally attached covers for conductors emanating from an insulator. The insulator is covered while maintaining the integrity of the insulator's dielectric properties. Prevention of contact with the conductor is accomplished by covering a portion of the conductor emanating in a first direction from an insulative support. Inadvertent exposure of the conductor emanating in the first direction is then prevented. A portion of the conductor proximate to the insulative support is covered.

  • Patent number: 7154034
Abstract: Method and apparatus for protecting wildlife from contact with an energized fuse assembly known as a “cutout”, also known as a “disconnect”. The cutout is shrouded from above and three sides. One side is left open to facilitate installation or removal of a fuse holder assembly. The shroud is formed to allow the use of a hot-stick for installation and removal of a fuse holder assembly into a fuse receptacle formed by upper and lower contact assemblies held in opposition to each other by an insulator. The shroud provides a slot enabling installation when a wire is connected to the upper contact assembly. A pin is used to hold the shrouding in place.

  • Patent number: 6751313
Abstract: Method and apparatus for an improved echo canceller provide for faster convergence in echo canceling, which also contribute to better voice quality and provide for an increase in the capacity (number of channels) of a multi-channel voice processing products. Whitening filters are used to flatten the spectrum of the signals that pass through the echo canceller. Higher convergence rate is achieved when flattened signals pass through the echo canceller. A reconstruction filter is used to introduce the spectral envelop back into the outbound signal.

  • Patent number: 6634316
Abstract: Bird bath incorporates water reservoir and filter disposed above reservoir. Pump circulates water from reservoir to a bowl. Water from bowl received from water surface directed to filter. Agitator causes particles in bowl bottom to be directed to filter. Cascading shower aerates water. Filter captures particles and sanitizes water.
