  • Patent number: 7556818
Abstract: A composition and method of applying to skin which has psoriasis a gel that contains curcumin and/or curcuminoids. Prior to applying of the gel to the skin, the affected layer is soaked in one-hundred percent alcohol. The alcohol functions to dissolve the curcumin and/or curcuminoids with the alcohol not only comprising a solvent but functions as a carrier to cause the freshly dissolved (nascent) curcumin to penetrate through the stratum corneum layer of the skin and into the epithelial layer of the skin.

  • Patent number: 7281650
Abstract: A beverage cup that is constructed to be inexpensive and disposable with the beverage cup having an anti-slip exterior surface. The anti-slip exterior surface can be constructed of a foam coating or constructed by placing a mass of small holes through a corrugated layer producing a chad around each hole that extends in an outward direction from the beverage cup.

  • Patent number: 6237342
Abstract: A gravity motor which is formed of at least one motor unit which has at least one motor member fixed to an output shaft. The output shaft is rotationally mounted on a housing. The housing includes a guide surface. The motor member is low frictionally longitudinally movable relative to an output shaft. Each end of the motor member includes a weighted follower which is low frictionally movable relative to a guide surface. The rotation of the motor unit will cause one weighted follower to be moved toward the output shaft by the guide surface with the opposite weighted follower of the motor member being moved away from the output shaft. The result is gravity produces an overall clockwise torque on the motor member which causes rotation of the output shaft.

  • Patent number: 5633557
Abstract: A spark plug for an internal combustion engine which has an electrode centrally mounted within an insulator with this insulator being mounted within an elongated housing. The outer end of the insulator is formed into a core nose with this core nose either being planar or mounded. Located directly adjacent the core nose and spaced slightly therefrom plus being spaced from the electrode is a ground ring. The electrical resistance is selected so that the spark will travel from the center electrode across the core nose and then jump the air gap at approximately the closest spacing distance from the ground ring and the core nose. The ground ring can be ported. The ground ring annular opening into the fire hole of the spark plug may be sawtoothed to form a mass of spark-emanating points.

  • Patent number: 5260766
Abstract: An apparatus and method for detection of an imperfect seal between a plurality of plastic sheets. A transparent heated seal bar is tightly applied against the plurality of plastic sheets with the heat producing a welding between the sheets. A light source is projected into the seal bar with reflection occurring back through the seal bar from the seal area producing an image. This image is then picked up by a camera and transmitted to a visual analyzing computer which compares the produced seal to an image of a perfect seal and if significant differences are noted the computer causes activation of an annunciator to make known the creation of the imperfect seal.

  • Patent number: 4912887
Abstract: A portable stage apparatus which utilizes a plurality of open frame assemblies, each of which is constructed of a plurality of pivotally interconnected side panels. Each open frame assembly is mounted on wheels to facilitate movement from a collapsed position to an extended position. When in the extended position, a plurality of floor panels are to be mounted on the open frame assemblies with the floor panels being contiguous and the upper surface of the floor panels being in alignment. Adjoining floor panels are interlocked together with these floor panels also being locked to the open frame assemblies. For purposes of stowage and transportability, the open frame assemblies are connectable together in the collapsed position and readily movable onto a transporting vehicle. Also, a group of the floor panels are capable of being stowed together into a small space and mounted onto a storage dolly which is readily movable onto and off of a transporting vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4882841
Abstract: The incorporating of a flint and a serrated striking surface in conjunction with a knife whether it is an exposed blade hunting knife or a packet knife where the blades can be moved to a non-exposed storage position. The flint is mounted within a carrier rod. This carrier rod is to be threadably secured within a storage chamber within a pivotable blade of the hunting knife or is mounted directly in the handle of an exposed blade knife. The flint and carrier rod can be disengaged from the storage chamber and manually operated against a striking surface to produce a spark to start a fire.

  • Patent number: 4640063
Abstract: An integral wire clip one end of which is to slip over the top edge of an elongated cement form and be snugly connected thereto. The opposite end of the clip is formed into a spring biased section which includes a pocket. Within the pocket there is to be located a section of a reinforcing bar. With the reinforcing bar located within the pocket, the reinforcing bar is snugly held in its established position against the elongated form. The wire clip also includes a handle section to facilitate movement of a portion of the wire clip for the purpose of facilitating initial positioning of and disengagement of the reinforcing bar within the pocket.

  • Patent number: RE40214
Abstract: A mounting system and method of mounting an alignment instrument onto a vehicular wheel which is to be used to align the wheels of a vehicle. The mounting system includes a mounting plate which has an engagement structure located directly adjacent the peripheral edge of the plate. At least a pair of the lug nuts of the vehicular wheel are to be removed and replaced with elongated internally threaded sleeves which are substantially longer in length than the lug nuts. A fastener assembly is used to fixedly mount the mounting plate onto these sleeves. The alignment instrument is then to be clamped onto the mounting plate by engaging the engagement structure.
