    Abstract: Mixed metal salts (especially zinc salts) of dialkylphosphorodithioic acids and carboxylic acids, the ratio of equivalents of the dialkylphosphorodithioic to the carboxylic acid being between about 0.5:1 and about 4.5:1, are useful in lubricants and functional fluids (such as hydraulic fluids) as antioxidants and extreme pressure agents having improved thermal stability.
