Abstract: This invention is directed toward improvements in closure hinges of the type employing curved hinge sections which rotatably interconnect. A rigid link is employed at the ends of the hinge to help retain the hinge sections interconnected. Existing hinge elements are used to connect the links to the hinge. Fasteners are employed to prevent the hinge sections from moving longitudinally with respect to each other. Spacer elements are provided to prevent the fasteners from binding on the hinge sections.
Abstract: An improved tree cutting mechanism for a tree harvester. The mechanism employs two stacked circular saws which are rotated and moved forwardly to cut through a tree. A wedge between the saws moves pieces of the tree being cut between the saws out of the way of the support for the saws.
Abstract: A hinge having first and second elongated hinge members. The two hinge members rotate one within the other between open and closed positions. The hinge members are constructed to avoid any longitudinal gaps between the hinge members in either the open or closed positions.
Abstract: A mounting assembly for use in movably suspending a folding closure from a curved track. The mounting assembly has a wheel assembly for running on the track and a connecting member for connecting the wheel assembly to the closure. The wheel assembly is rotatable about the connecting member, and means are provided for limiting the rotational movement of the wheel assembly about the connecting member to prevent the wheel assemblies from turning sideways in the curved track while traversing it.
Abstract: A folding closure having an emergency folding door therein which has a height less than the height of the closure. A folding top closure section is provided in the closure above the folding door. Means detachably connect the folding door and the folding top closure section together. The arrangement allows the folding top closure section to guide the folding door about corners when folding or unfolding the closure.
Abstract: An improved folding closure consisting of a plurality of panels joined at adjacent vertical sides by hinges. Means are provided on each panel for carrying a sweeper strip across the bottom of the closure. The carrying means include means for strengthening the bottom of each panel.
