  • Patent number: 7005604
Abstract: The invention relates to an operating method and a trolley for a system used for machining objects by using laser beams, particularly for a system used for boring or structuring substrates. The system has a great number of slow-working laser machining machines than rapid working laser machining machines. A rapid-working laser machining machine utilized afterwards or beforehand can be better used to capacity due to the parallel operation of a number of slow-working laser machining machines. The transfer of objects to be machined or already machined objects is preferably effected by means of trolleys, which are both compatible with both the loading stations and the unloading stations of the laser machining machines. This enables the objects, which are to be machined, to be directly received by a trolley located in a loading station and, after machining, to be placed in a trolley that is introduced into an unloading station of a laser machining machine.

  • Patent number: 6966492
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gear arrangement actuated by a control motor. The motor can be reversed in its rotational direction in order to emit a chip card of a tachograph for example. The gear arrangement is provided with a slide-rod for each reading/writing unit, the slide-rod being embodied in the form of a toothed rack being able to be displaced in the direction of movement of the chip card. A control slider which is actuated by the control motor is coupled gearwise to the slide rods so that when the control slider is displaced, the slide rods carry out a movement in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 6960856
Abstract: An electric motor is provided with rotor and stator. The stator includes stator poles radially facing the rotor and surrounded by stator windings. An insulating sleeve is positioned between the rotor and stator. The sleeve includes projections arranged radially with respect to the rotor. The projections project in a direction away from the sleeve and rotor and towards the stator. The projections project between adjacent stator poles and may further serve to anchor the poles. The projections may have a T or elongated T shape. The projections and sleeve are rigid and either or both may be made of plastic. The sleeve provides a moisture or liquid tight insulation for the stator so that the motor can be used in moist or liquid environments.

  • Patent number: 6907776
Abstract: The present invention comprises a system for the detection of a pressure drop in a tire. Herein an evaluating unit determines the temporal modification of the temperature in the tire and produces an alerting signal if the temporal modification of the temperature falls short of a predetermined temperature modification threshold value. In presence of an evaluating signal, the evaluating unit determines the temporal modification of the air pressure and produces an alerting signal, if the temporal modification of the air pressure exceeds an air pressure modification threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6834950
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tachograph including a cuboid housing and a print device. The print device is formed in such a manner that the thermal print head in the housing of the tachograph, the transport cylinder and the mechanism actuating the cylinder are disposed in a support which can be removed from the front side of the tachograph. In addition, a support bridge is provided to support the thermal print head which can pivot counter to the action of supporting springs. The bridge is secured onto the top panel of the tachograph by insertion of a retainer.

  • Patent number: 6823854
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine, especially for a motor vehicle, comprising an exhaust gas recirculation line for recirculating exhaust gas, the line branching off from the exhaust line and running into an unburned gas line. The exhaust gas recirculation line includes a valve having a closing element which can be displaced between a closing position and an opening position by means of an actuator. One aim of the invention is to especially reliably prevent the closing element of the valve from sticking to the valve seat after the operation of the internal combustion engine. To this end, the closing element of the valve is placed in an idle position by means of the actuator, when the internal combustion engine is not in operation.

  • Patent number: 6813541
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sorting postal articles on automatic sorting devices. According to the invention, the postal articles are read in one or several sorting devices and are pre-sorted in sorting terminal stations according to distributing areas. The pre-sorted postal articles are then conveyed to the sorting devices assigned to the respective distributing areas and are finely sorted based on the applied barcode that indicates the online-read or offline-read address. In order to provide an additional time for offline video encoding before the fine sorting, the postal articles, during the pre-sorting for each distributing area, are sorted in terminal stations for already completely read postal articles and in terminal stations for incompletely read postal articles. This permits the completely read postal articles to be immediately subjected to a fine sorting and enables this time to be used for offline video encoding the incompletely read postal articles.

  • Patent number: 6797943
Abstract: Molecular ions are generated by ionization, said molecular ions are accumulated in an ion reservoir that is external to the drift chamber. Than said molecular ions are dissociated into fragment ions (i.e. fragmented ions) with electromagnetic radiation or electron beams or ion beams, and said fragment ions are ion-mobility spectrometrically analyzed. In an embodiment the apparatus comprises additionally a virtual impactor and a pyrolyzer. The process of fragmentation over time are detected and analyzed, and this information is used for the differentiation of hazardous biological samples from non-hazardous biological samples.

  • Patent number: 6776407
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for stacking objects in a stack. The objects may be flat flexible objects with front and back edges being narrower than side walls. Accordingly, the objects may comprise mail pieces. Per the invention, the mail pieces are directed to a stacker. The stacker comprises an impact wall with abutting installation and limiting walls. Accordingly, the stack may be formed therebetween with the installation wall being urged towards the limiting wall so as to sandwich the stack. At least one diverter element or vain is included upstream from the stacker. A roller of a conveying element is positioned upstream from the upper most vain. An object is directed towards the impact wall. When the objects leading edge impacts the wall, the vain or roller closest to the trailing portion of the object causes the trailing portion to be urged towards the stack. The vains may be pivoted while the roller made to turn in a select manner.
