Abstract: A dual beacon is provided for mounting on an obstruction such as a tower. The dual beacon is substantially cylindrical with an open cylindrical interior. An upper lens section and a lower lens section is provided and at the inside top of the upper lens section there is a slight, outward and downward taper of about 1.degree.. The upper lens section and the lower lens section are hinged to allow access to the interior where a plate has an upper flashtube assembly and a lower flashtube assembly mounted thereon. The member is hinged to allow easy access to the upper flashtube assembly and to the lower flashtube assembly. The upper lens section and the lower lens section each have a central portion which controls the intensity of the light beam. The peak intensity is in an area of 3.degree. through 5.degree. above a horizontal reference plane and in an area of 1.degree. below such horizontal reference plane greater than 50% of peak intensity is provided.

Abstract: A tray having several hollow, frustro conical shaped portions for supporting pots having plants. Such tray has several openings near the edge of the tray to allow the tray to be carried while the pots having plants are positioned in the tray. A raised support is positioned in the bottom of each hollow, frustro conical shaped portions to allow the pot in each of such portions to be slightly elevated so that water can be contained and fed to each plant through the bottom of each pot holding a plant. The tray keeps the plants erect in the decorative container and acts as a filler and water reservoir. The tray is light in weight and may have many configurations.
Abstract: A wastewater evaporator system is provided for evaporating wastewater at a rate of about seven gallons per hour. Such system includes a heater, a blower, a plurality of honeycombed plates, a drive element including an electric motor, and a tank. Such system improves the environment and allows safe, reliable, and economical disposal of wastewater.
Abstract: An article of manufacture is provided for use primarily in removal of snow from driveways, sidewalks, decks and other locations where snow accumulates and needs to be removed. Such article of manufacture also may be used as a dolly, sled, or a trailer-like device for pulling by a vehicle or snowmobile.

Abstract: A machine tool is provided having a wide range of applications and uses in metal or other material fabrication. Such machine tool may be utilized on reactor flanges, pipes, and other equipment. The machine tool is pneumatically actuated and may include a vertical spindle on which may be attached a grinder, brush, or other apparatus for polishing, grinding, or contouring a workpiece. A pneumatically driven mechanism for the machine tool includes a plurality of worm gears positioned and arranged for selective rotational speed and tongue of the spindle of such tool. Essentially, the machine tool or universal tool combines functions achieved with a plurality of known tools in a single unitary tool assembly having reliability, simplicity, economy, and durability.
Abstract: A portable milling machine is provided for solving in-place machining problems encountered on turbines, pumps, electric motor bases, and other types of field equipment requiring a close tolerance, machined surface prior to installation. Such portable milling machine is set up at a job-site using a plurality of levels in conjunction with an optical leveling kit and a vertical scale magnetically mounted at selective locations on such portable milling machine during set-up. The set-up time for such portable milling machine substantially is cut in half by using levels in conjunction with optics and accuracy may be achieved within 0.001 to 0.002 of an inch.
Abstract: A high-speed, portable computer interfaced, fluid-filled, foam-padded, heavy bag with local electronic force indicator is provided along with a mechanically-driven paper chart recorder with digital output, split screen video data recording system, and printer for automatic data analysis used to measure a fighter's individual, peak, and total applied force on a target. Such target is constructed so that the fighter feels both familiar and comfortable for each hit, each session, and for such fighter's entire training career spent practicing a bag connected in the system of the present invention. Such system is accurate enough to determine at which point a fighter'punching or kicking muscle groups undergo initial fatigue and subsequent tetanus, or tightening.
Abstract: A system and apparatus are provided for delaying ignition or extinguishing an oil well rig fire through the injection of pressurized carbon dioxide, nitrogen, monoammonia phosphate, or Monnex into the flow of hydrocarbons from the drill pipe and casing through a spool apparatus located above the "Hydril" and blow-out preventers and above the casing but preferably below the mud return line, with untreated water being used as a back-up fluid after the chemicals have been dissipated. Such untreated water is inexpensive, readily available in most instances, and abundant in quantity. Such spool apparatus is equipped with a plurality of novel check valves which allow flow of chemicals upon actuation of the system while shutting off the flow of untreated water. After the chemicals have been dissipated, the novel check valves allow untreated water to flow into the system. The entire system may be activated by a mechanism at the control head of the well.
Abstract: A tilt switch encapsulated by epoxy resin in a polyvinyl chloride housing for high strength is provided. Actuation of the tilt switch is effected when moved through an arc of 45.degree. or less.
Abstract: A booklet is provided with a front cover having attached on the inside portion a conventional book of postage stamps. The pages of the booklet are perforated near the center of the booklet and the pages contain merchandise discount coupons for use by an individual who has purchased the booklet at less than the face value of the postage stamps contained in the postage stamp book attached to the cover.
Abstract: In a head protector for children and invalids, a series of concentric rings of tubular fabric packed with yieldable material and a top member of yieldable material, and straps binding said rings and top together, a ring of spaced cushions, or pillows, between the lowermost ring and the adjacent ring, and means for positioning said protector on a user's head and maintaining same against rearward movement.
Abstract: A substantially circular strip air swirling device is provided for positioning in the annular space of air filters on internal combustion engines. Such device has a plurality of upper outwardly extending vanes and a plurality of upper inwardly extruding vanes with a transverse support member. Such device creates a swirling stream of air as the air enters the air horn of the carburetor to provide improved carburetion which results in improved gasoline mileage.
Abstract: A method of assembly adapted for use with underground structures having an arcuate, elongated configuration and constructed of substantially identical blocks joined together with substantially identical fastening means and extending from both sides of a center keystone thereby allowing energy efficient, reliable, low cost structures capable of being mass produced with minimal die or pattern expense.
Abstract: A cogeneration and sludge drying system is provided using air first to generate power in a gas turbine, second in drying the sludge, and third in a boiler to make steam. Heat is recovered from the water vapor evaporated from the sludge and from hot air. The system utilizes conventional equipment and may be retrofitted to existing sludge drying processes at minimal expense and complexity.
