    Abstract: A coaxial cable connector assembly is provided wherein a center contact clamping mechanism of the connector assembly is configured to cooperate with a cable adapter and a center contact of the connector assembly such that movement of the clamping mechanism in the direction of the cable adapter results in compression of the center contact about an end portion of the center conductor of the coaxial cable.
