Abstract: A passive noise reduction apparatus for altering predetermined sound levels of a sound producing device, the noise reduction apparatus includes at least one piezoelectric foil sensor disposed relative to the sound producing device with the at least one piezoelectric foil sensor being operable to convert such sound wave energy into an electric sound signal and one or more electric circuits in electrical communication with the at least one piezoelectric foil sensor for receiving the electric sound signal and shunting the electric sound signal to a ground connection, thereby reducing sound heard outside the sound producing device.

The evaporator engages with projections extending from an inner wall of the housing defining the evaporation chamber. Abstract: A method for spin-drying textiles being subjected to a method for the production of a hydrophobic effect in a washing machine. Textiles located within the drum are brought into contact with hydrophobing substances dissolved in the washing liquid. The drum is accelerated for a first number of spin pulses to reach a speed in a first spinning block when the washing liquid is removed from the outer tub, the speed being below a critical speed of rotation. The drum is accelerated in a second spinning block for a second number of spin pulses to reach a speed that is above the critical speed of rotation. The drum is accelerated in a third and final spinning block for a third number of spinning pulses to reach a maximum speed of rotation that is compatible with the washing.

Abstract: A lint filter device for an airflow in a tumble dryer, comprising an endlessly circulating element, arranged around at least two deflector elements and positioned such as to be crossed by the airflow. The circulating element has an upper edge and a lower edge and first engaging elements are arranged on at least one of the two edges which, on opening a loading door of the tumble dryer may come to cooperate with at least one second engaging element, arranged inside the tumble dryer such that, on the opening process of the loading door, the circulating element may be automatically moved in a circulating direction and may be passed across at least one device for the removal of lint from the circulating element. The invention further relates to a method for cleaning such a lint filter device.

A contact surface of the horizontal support presses against a second wall of the vertical support, the second wall being arranged opposite to the first wall. Abstract: A refrigerator comprising a water conduit that is equipped with a socket for an exchangeable water filter and a monitoring unit for detecting the water throughput through the water conduit, said unit generating an alarm if the water throughput exceeds a threshold value. The monitoring unit can be deactivated if a water filter is mounted in the socket.

Abstract: A refrigeration device, in particular a no-frost device, refrigerator and/or freezer, comprising a thermally insulating housing containing at least one product storage compartment that can be supplied with cold air by a fan and an evaporator chamber that holds an evaporator. According to the invention, the evaporator chamber is thermally separated from the storage compartment by a partition. The device also comprises an electronic control system for controlling the refrigeration device and at least one light source for illuminating the storage compartment. The evaporator, the partition and the electronic control system and/or the evaporator, the partition and the light source are provided in the form of modules. The refrigeration device is characterized in that it is particularly reliable, works efficiently, can be cost-effectively produced and is easy to service.

Differing cooking containers may be effectively heated, whereby the heating device has a switching device by which the heating energy is selectively supplied to only one of the inductors or simultaneously to both inductors in a parallel circuit.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner comprising a housing, in which a dust collection chamber is arranged, which may be sealed by a dust chamber cover, on which an unlocking element for a clip element is provided, which cooperates with a counter-clip element on the housing, in order to hold the dust chamber cover in a closed position. According to the invention, a vacuum cleaner with improved cover lock may be achieved, whereby the unlocking element is integrated flush in the contour of the dust chamber cover and is embodied to be operated by pressing.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a controller for switching on or off, or for selection of operational functions for the dishwasher, the controller thus providing improved ease of operation and being relatively unaffected by wear and contamination. The controller has at least one touch-sensitive surface with switching functions allocated to at least one operating function, whereby the switching functions of the touch-sensitive surface may be operated with a light contact and the relevant operating function is then switched on or off, or selected. The touch-sensitive surface of the controller preferably reacts to the change in the electromagnetic field, resulting from a touching of the touch-sensitive surface, whereupon the relevant operating function is switched on or off, or selected. Improved ease of use may be achieved, whereby only a slight effort is required for selection, or to switch on a particular rinsing program, or operating function on the controller.
