Abstract: A process and system for pretreating, gathering, transmitting and finally treating waste produced at multiple locations includes pretreating the waste proximate the generation site, gathering the pretreated waste and transmitting the waste to a final treatment facility. One or more gathering stations, with sensing and feedback mechanisms, allow for controlled injection of waste to collection lines, and segments thereof, to control system demand through the collection line and to final treatment facility. The pretreating step includes removing particulates that impede the flow of waste through the collection lines.
Abstract: A multi-block rigging system for a heavy crane, pulling or lifting device. The system uses sheave blocks in series orientation to enable the use of standard, economical or preferred, size winch drums and standard, economical or preferred, diameter and length wire rope, each forming a separate set of reeving lines. Each set of reeving lines moves its corresponding load block a proportional distance of the total travel length for the load hook. Alternatively, different line parts of line for each reeved set enables different travel speeds of the load block for different capacity requirements.
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a danger alert system for a site, and in particular a moving site such as a vehicle. The danger alert system comprises a signal transmitter about a transmitting site for transmitting a signal. The invention further comprises a receiver alert system about a receiving site for receiving the signal emitted by the transmitter about the transmitting site. The receiver alert system then determines the likelihood of danger posed by the transmitting site based upon an analysis of the received signal. The receiver alert system is made up at least one signal receptor adapted for receiving the transmitted signal. The receiver alert system is made up of a velocity measurer, a site locator, and a danger assessor, all in communication with the signal receptors. The velocity measurer determines the relative velocity of the transmitting site from an analysis of the signal. The site locator determines a relative position of the transmitting site from an analysis of the signal.
Abstract: A multiple purpose table having at least one fixed or moveable work surface, support walls and frame, and an adjustable arm for supporting a video display, which can retract into a protective storage well beneath one or more of said work surfaces. The adjustable arm is attached to the support walls below a work surface at a first end. A second end of the adjustable arm is attachable to the display. A display storage position of the multiple purpose table includes placing the adjustable arm second end and display below the work surface. A display access position of the multiple purpose table includes moving any work surface covering the storage position and raising the display, supported by the adjustable arm, into the user determined viewing position.
Abstract: A flow promoter to promote flow of material in a hopper or bin container comprises a body having an inlet orifice, an outlet orifice, and an arrangement of peaks, ridges, slopes and radial lobes provided at the inlet end to cooperatively create stress points in the material. An embodiment of the invention comprises a removable flow promoter that can be inserted into a container.
Abstract: A three-cone rock bit employing a non-plugging center jet nozzle with a plurality of staggered inlet orifices leading to side passageways to reduce bit balling. The nozzle defines a tapered cavity through which drilling mud flows and exits in streams. Streams are directed from the nozzle through a main exit aperture of sufficient size to avoid plugging and from side passageways boring through a sidewall of the nozzle. Jetting streams promote washing of voids within the bit and of cutting surfaces. The nozzle uses staggered inlet orifices leading to side passageways, in conjunction with a tapering shape of a central passageway to facilitate maintenance of drilling mud velocity within the central passageway and thus of stream velocity to targeted regions of the drill bit.
Abstract: A deformable bushing to seal tubing to a receiving body is provided. The bushing includes a pair of grooves extending around the bushing with an annular ring between the grooves. The grooves are cut to a depth leaving sufficient wall thickness, and have an inscribed angle of about 90 degrees. An alignment flange may be provided at one end of the bushing to align the axis of the tubing with the axis of the through-hole in the receiving body.
