Abstract: A device for squeezing tubes consisting of two press rolls (1) arranged facing each other which can be placed onto the sides of a tube. Into the face side openings (1a) of the press rolls (1) pot-shaped sleeves (2) are inserted. These pot-shaped sleeves (2) towards the inside are provided with bottom parts (2a) with passage openings (2b). Into each of the pot-shaped sleeves (2) arranged superimposed of the press rolls (1) the arms (3a,b,c) of U-shaped spring clamps (3) are inserted through the passage openings and are guided shiftably therein. The end parts (3c) of the arms (3a,b,c) of said spring clamps (3) each are provided with a protrusion (4) which blocks passage of the arms (3a,b,c) through the passage openings (2b).
Abstract: Methods for hermetically sealing an interface surface of ceramic materials, such as zirconia, to an interface surface of metallic materials, such as titanium alloys, using a titanium-nickel alloy filler material are disclosed. Preferred ceramic materials include stabilized zirconia materials; preferred metallic materials include titanium-niobium alloys; and a preferred titanium-nickel filler material is a 50-50 titanium-nickel alloy. At least one of the interfaces is contacted by the titanium-nickel alloy filler material and sealing is accomplished under vacuum conditions at temperatures of from 900 to 1200° C. during application of pressure to the joint. The methods are especially suitable for use in hermetically sealing ceramic and metallic components for applications such as implantable medical devices, electrical connectors, electronic packages, sporting goods, structural components, and the like.
Abstract: The present invention relates to morphine and diamorphine salts of anionic non-narcotic analgesics belonging to the type of substituted carboxylic acids, preferably the morphine and diamorphine salts of diclofenac (Formula 1); to processes for their production, the use of these salts in the treatment of diseases, as well as to pharmaceutical preparations comprising these salts.

Abstract: A method of applying a layer-form active ingredient depot with delayed release of active ingredients to plants or plant parts, having at least one pressure-sensitively adhering matrix layer (A) which comprises active ingredient and is in two-dimensional contact with the plant surface, and one back layer (B) which is essentially free from and impermeable to active ingredient and is on the side remote from the plant is characterized in that the layer (A) is produced by painting in the desired two-dimensional pattern at the site of application on the plant from a spreadable, pressure-sensitively adhering, polymer-based composition which comprises active ingredient and then on the said layer (A) the layer (B) is produced by painting or spraying.
