Abstract: A rotatable electrically actuated valve having a spindle with axially spaced grooves and lands constructed and arranged to selectively connect an auxiliary air conditioning system to a truck cab while isolating the truck air conditioning system, and for connecting the truck air conditioning system to the truck cab, while isolating the auxiliary air conditioning system.
Abstract: A tamper evident tip cap assembly for a prefilled dosage syringe having a tip cap wherein a sleeve is frangibly connected to the tip cap, and is captured within an overcap freely rotatable thereon. The tamper evident tip cap assembly is removed from the syringe tip cap by pulling the overcap to break the frangible connection between the sleeve and syringe tip cap.

Abstract: A dispenser assembly for liquid products comprising an elongated, generally cylindrical barrel of a predetermined internal cross-sectional diameter having a discharge opening at one end and open at its opposite end, an elongated, generally cylindrical hollow plunger having an outer diameter less than the barrel internal diameter and a circumferentially extending axially directed sealing lip adjacent the tip portion having an outer diameter greater than the internal diameter of the barrel in the relaxed state to thereby flex the lip inwardly against its bias and providing the sole sliding contact between the plunger and barrel when the plunger and barrel are actuated axially relative to one another.
Abstract: A method and system for transmitting information included in a memory device to a remote location. The information included in the memory device could take the form of patient information as well as a prescription dosages and the remote location could be a pharmacy or a physician's office. The memory device could be fixedly attached to a drug container and a linker module would read the information contained in the memory device and automatically contact a pharmacy located at a remote location to fill a particular prescription. Information relating to the patient or the prescription which is filled can also be transferred from the remote location directly into the memory device through the linker module. In addition, the method and system can be used to order or purchase any products or services from a vendor.
Abstract: A programmable command module for inputting a surface foot rating parameter into a device for controlling the spindle speed of a cutting tool. Based upon the surface foot rating, the proper speed of the spindle is determined with respect to a particular cutting tool parameter, such as the tool's diameter. The spindle speed setting is transmitted to an AC inverter which in turn controls the operation of an AC motor for rotating the spindle at its proper speed. Alternatively, a second embodiment of the present invention would include a programmed memory provided with the surface foot rating of a plurality of materials. Once the type of material, the type of tool operation, as well as the diameter of the cutting tool is inputted into this embodiment, the proper RPM speed of the spindle would be determined.

Abstract: New blood substitutes are described having osmolarities greater than normal blood. The new blood substitues typically comprise a physiologically acceptable fluid electrolyte solution, a physiologically acceptable agent capable of increasing the osmolarity of the blood substitute to a value greater than normal blood, an oxygen carrying substance, and a sufficient amount of water to achieve the desired osmolarity. The blood substitutes of the present invention have osmolarities in the range of 500-800 milliosmoles per liter.
Abstract: A sealing plug for a multi-contact electrical connector which precludes the necessity for installation of separate end-seal plugs and spare pin contacts to effect the environmental sealing of non-used pin contact cavities in the connector.
