Abstract: A microprocessor-operated keyless entry padlock includes a fingerprint sensor for reading a fingerprint and comparing it to at least one fingerprint stored in memory in the padlock. If a match is found the padlock may be manually opened by a knob or automatically opened by actuating a drive gear to move a gear portion connected to a locking bar to open the locking bar.
Abstract: A recreational assistance device having a streamline shaped substantially open main body with four large pneumatic tires to allow the device to move easily over rough terrain. The device is equipped with a braking system including at least one brake handle. A safety harness may be secured to the braking system and worn by a user to automatically actuate the braking system if the person falls, slips or stumbles when jogging or walking. The handle bars and other upper portions of the device are preferably padded and the rear wheels have associated movable stops to allow the device to be stopped and held in a rest or stop position. The four-wheel recreational assistance device may be provided with telescoping supporting arms for a carrying bag for holding packages or other materials.
Abstract: Water leak detecting or overflow devices for a toilet may be inserted into or formed integrally with the toilet. The devices include at least one water leak sensor assembly mounted in a position in a toilet tank so as to detect the rise and fall of the water level in the toilet tank and an overflow detector in a toilet bowl. If the water level rises and falls a predetermined number of times, or if water continues to flow to the toilet longer than a measured increment of time, a microprocessor operates a normally-open valve and shuts off flow of water to the toilet tank. The devices also include a second sensor, whereby if a flapper remains open or water reaches a level where it might overflow the bowl or tank and stays there for a predetermined period of time, the microprocessor will also shut off flow to the toilet.
Abstract: A water sink toy is sized and dimensioned to move and sink in water so as to simulate a squid, or the like. The sink toy includes a shaped, weighted head having an opening formed therein. A number of tentacle-like, floatable elongated members are secured to the head so as to move in water and provide buoyancy to the sink toy. The opening in the head may be used to grasp the head, to enable it to be worn on a finger in the manner of a ring, or to be attached to other objects.
Abstract: An air filter support system for a clean room has a number of filter support elements (10) supported by holding rods (12) secured to a supporting surface. A connector/hanger bracket (14) having a pair of perpendicular arms (20, 22) with apertures (24, 26,28) formed therein is secured to each holding rod. Grid members (16, 18) are laterally secured to the perpendicular arms by securing elements (38, 62, 64) passing through openings (40, 66, 68). Each of the grid members include sealing gaskets (34, 36, 70, 72) on top surfaces thereof to seal between grid members and filter elements. Aerodynamically shaped light fixtures (42, 52) are secured to lower portions of the grid members (16) to provide non-turbulent air flow into the clean room, while grid members (18) are aerodynamically shaped to provide non-turbulent air flow into the clean room.
Abstract: A collapsible muck bucket cart or dolly easily movable between a storage position and an operative position. The dolly includes a telescopically extensible, angled rectangular main frame having a handle at an upper end and a foot for the dolly at a lower end; a cargo basket with a front lip and an aft lip; and at least one axle held in a transversal axle sleeve with a pair of pneumatic wheels coupled to the ends of the axle. Pivotally movable load bearing bars are connected to posterior sections of the cargo basket by lower ends, and upper ends of the loading bars are selectively connected to a middle section of the main frame. The exact connection of the loading bars to the middle section of the main frame, determines the storage or operative position of the dolly. The positioning of the cargo basket and the angle of the main frame optimizes the dolly for use in moving cargo, with a minimum of effort from the user.
Abstract: A high speed vertical form, fill and seal packaging machine has a dual pump pouch-filling system, adjustable packaging material roll holders and side-seal jaws that are longer than pouches being formed in the machine, and which move with the packaging material traveling through the machine. Packaging material is moved in a semi-continuous manner and has side seals formed therein that are slit by a slitter system and pulled downwardly by a multi-jaw, rotary cross-seal system. After being completed, the formed pouches are cut off by a reciprocating or rotary cut-off system.
Abstract: A low profile combination exit and emergency light system having a single piece body with a central internal chamber having a pair of spaced batteries connected to a LED lighting strip, and a pair of integral end portions with separate downwardly shining lights held therein. The system may be mounted from the top utilizing a special adapter and may include emergency lights mounted in special movable housings that pivot to allow a broad range of motion.
Abstract: A showerhead having a water filter element held therein. The water filter element is easily changeable by unscrewing two halves of a body forming the showerhead. The body halves are easily gripped and turned, so as to be opened or closed, and the showerhead preferably includes a massage-type head at the lower end thereof, which may be rotated to vary the streams of water exiting the showerhead. The water filter element cooperates with internal components of the halves of the body to direct the flow of water through the filter element, and then out of the massage head. The showerhead may be easily and quickly adapted to be held on any shower arm, and to replace any existing showerhead without taking up as much room as currently existing filter elements used with available showerheads.
