  • Patent number: 7301683
Abstract: The invention relates to a hologram that enables two or more different images to be simultaneously reconstructed even in a state where the hologram is fixed in terms of relative position with respect to an eye, and a holographic viewing device that incorporates it. The hologram 14 is fabricated by applying Fourier transform to a plurality of input image to obtain a plurality of corresponding Fourier transform images 13-1, 13-2 and arraying the Fourier transform images 13-1, 13-2 on the same plane according to a given two-dimensional array principle into a computer-generated hologram. When a plurality of point light sources 231 to 239 located behind the hologram 14 are viewed through the hologram 14, a plurality of images are simultaneously and parallel reconstructed (28) in correspondence to the array positions of the plurality of Fourier transform images.

  • Patent number: 7301417
Abstract: Disclosed is a pulse width modulation method and apparatus capable of expressing as many values as possible in a pulse width modulation (PWM) period, while maintaining the center of pulse energy substantially equal to the center of the PWM period. For this end, prepared is the PWM pattern generator 20 including 2 kinds of PWM pulse generator 21 and 22 for generating pulses having the pulse width of 0˜N times of the reference clock period in 1 PWM period corresponding to a predetermined number N of the reference clock period. The PWM pulse generators 21 and 22 are properly switched by the switching circuit 30 under control of the control circuit 40 for performing time averaging process so that the centers of energy of the output pulses is substantially equal to the center of the PWM period.

  • Patent number: 7286199
Abstract: The invention has for its object the provision of a phase difference control component that, albeit comprising a phase difference control layer formed of a polymerizable liquid crystal, enables a given spacing to be maintained between opposite substrates, etc. A phase difference control component 1 comprises a multilayer structure wherein a phase difference control layer 3 formed of a liquid crystal polymer is stacked on a substrate 2, and a plurality of prismatic, cylindrical or other columns is provided on the phase difference control layer 3. The columns are formed of a material obtained by curing an ionizing radiation-curable resin composition. With the multilayer structure, the object of the invention can be accomplished. A black matrix, a color filter layer or the like may be interposed between substrate 2 and phase difference control layer 3, and an electrode and an alignment film may be provided on the phase difference control layer.

  • Patent number: 7286804
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a receiver, a digital-analog converter and a tuning circuit in which temperature compensating components can be formed on a semiconductor substrate while reducing component costs. An FM receiver 100 is constituted by including an antenna 1, a high frequency receiving circuit 2, a local oscillator 3, two digital-analog converters (DACs) 4, 6, a control section 8, a mixing circuit 9, an intermediate frequency amplification circuit 10, a detection circuit 11, a low frequency amplification circuit 12 and the speaker 13. The DACs 4, 6 have a predetermined temperature coefficient, of which output voltage is changed in accordance with ambient temperature. When a characteristic of VCO 31 is changed with variations of ambient temperature so as to cause a control voltage applied to the VCO 31 to be changed, output voltages of the DACs 4, 6 are also changed similarly.
