  • Patent number: 5693027
Abstract: A plastic top for adapting to a chosen syringe (14) a standard cartridge (8) of the kind having a neck (9) with a flange (10) and being closed by a rubber membrane (11) sealingly secured against the flange (10) by a metal cover (12) having its edge beaded behind the flange. This plastic top has a bore (2) for receiving the neck part (9) of the cartridge (8), which bore (2) has a diameter making it fit over the metal cover (12) and is provided with protrusions (3;9) gripping behind the edge of the metal cover (12) when the neck part (9) is inserted in the bore. The outer contour of the plastic top is adapted to the syringe type in which the cartridge is going to be used. The plastic top is provided with a thread (5;18) coaxial with the bore to receive a needle hub (13) in a way making its needle (15) penetrate the membrane (11) of the cartridge (8) when the hub (13) is mounted on the thread (5) of the plastic top.

  • Patent number: 5573795
Abstract: In the method for treatment of potato fruit water the potato fruit water is subjected to a heat treatment to at least 125.degree. C. for at least 3 minutes, whereafter the heat treated potato fruit water is cooled to a temperature, at which enzymes are relatively stable, then enzymatically treated with a proteinase, and finally concentrated to microbial stability. Hereby a method for treatment of potato fruit water, which will enable a commercially sound utilization of potato fruit water, is provided.

  • Patent number: 5554134
Abstract: A closure for the outlet end of an ampoule having a neck with an outwardly extending annular projection (30), said closure comprising a holding cap (18;61) with a skirt (35;62) with interior protrusions (38) for engagement behind the annular projection (30) of the neck, which holding cap engages a disc shape part (31) to press it sealingly against the annular projection (30). A locking ring (20;64) on the outer side of the skirt (35;62) locks projections (38) in their engagement position behind the annular projection (30). Resilient fingers (37;65) and recesses (36;66) are provided on either the skirt or the locking ring, the recesses being positioned below the fingers so that the fingers may be pushed into the recesses when the locking ring is passed over the skirt. Either the skirt (35) or the locking ring (64), which part is not provided with the fingers and recesses, is provided with an edge over which the fingers may grip irreversibly when the locking ring is mounted in position on the skirt.

  • Patent number: 5542411
Abstract: A manually operated dispenser for dispensing a predetermined amount of powdered substance comprises a pressure cylinder (2) with an axially displaceable piston (3). A super-atmospheric pressure is generated by displacing the piston inwardly in the cylinder and is releaved through a chamber (41) in a magazine (40) comprising a number of chambers (41) containing powdered substance. The ends of the chambers (41) are covered by penetrable membranes (48), and the chambers (41) may be moved to successively being in alignment with a penetrator (30) and an outlet pipe (46). When the piston (3) is in its inner-most position the penetrator (30) and the inlet end of the out-let pipe (46) are forced through the respective membranes (48) at the ends of the chamber (41), and the subatmospheric pressure is releaved through the chamber (41) to dispense its content through the outlet pipe (46).
