  • Patent number: 4706709
Abstract: A single lever mixing valve assembly and an appliance valve assembly for sinks or the like are mounted in a valve housing. A mixing valve cartridge having hot, cold and mixed water passages and an insert having hot, cold and mixed water conduits operably coupled thereto. The insert includes a shut-off valve having a water passageway coupled to at least one of the hot and cold water conduits and an appliance water discharge conduit. The shut-off valve, the insert, the valve cartridge and means to control the shut-off valve and valve housing are coaxially arranged.

  • Patent number: 4697620
Abstract: A sanitary valve assembly for controlling the flow of hot and cold water, which includes at least two superimposed annular control elements arranged and constructed to provide at least two passgeways therethrough with a control lever operable coupled to one of the control elements for proportioning both hot and cold water therethrough. The control elements are formed having reduced surface areas for effecting a watertight seal.

  • Patent number: 4674537
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a straight-way and shut-off valve in which identical discs are arranged in face-to-face contact to provide a fluid-tight seal therebetween and means are provided whereby fluid is not trapped between the central rotatable disc and an outer disc so that upon expansion of the fluid, the discs do not shift outwardly due to axial pressure that would break the fluid-tight seal.

  • Patent number: 4664982
Abstract: A composite structure, e.g., a plastic-backed enamel steel product having high impact and thermal shock resistance is disclosed. The composite structure is formed having bonded thereto, a finished layer on one side thereof, and on the other side a layer of reinforced plastic to form a laminated structure. The plastic layer has a thickness of at least 1/8 in., and a density of between about 20 lbs. per cu.ft. and about 125 lbs per cu.ft. The finished layer is resistant to delamination when subjected to relatively high impact applied directly to the finished and/or plastic layer surface and to delamination when the composite structure is subjected to a sudden temperature change of about 180.degree. • Patent number: 4653535
Abstract: A single-lever sanitary water valve is provided with a fixed cylinder which has at least one water inlet aperture and serves to receive a rotatable and/or slidable piston, by means of which the inlet aperture can be wholly or partly closed and can be linked to the outlet aperture, the slidable and/or rotatable piston being controlled by means of a lever assembly. The lever assembly includes a rotatable cap mounted on the valve body to which is coupled the piston and the adjusting lever via at least two linkage members so that first, second and third pivot bearings are formed at their respective points of connections whereby lateral forces acting on the piston are substantially eliminated when the adjusting lever is shifted between its raised and lowered positions.

  • Patent number: 4624415
Abstract: This invention is directed to a nozzle or spout for a sanitary fitting, which is arranged and constructed to reduce the noise of fluid, (water), as it flows through the nozzle or spout passageway and which also removes particles entrained in the fluid, (water), before flowing through the nozzle or spout passageways, to prevent clogging.
