  • Patent number: 6782558
Abstract: New lightweight wrestler headgear comprises an inner soft plastic cushion for contact with the wearer and an outer hard shell having a plurality of swirling or sweeping curved protrusions intended to suggest the swirling clouds of a tornado. In the depressions or valleys between the swirls are a large number of vent holes that effectively remain uncovered for good hearing regardless of the activity during a wrestling match. The inner cushion and outer shell are peripherally shaped with concave outer edges between locations where straps are attached to the inner cushion and outer shell. Because of the novel peripheral shapes and the protruding swirls the outer shell can be made exceptionally light and strong with little impairment of hearing.

  • Patent number: 6563280
Abstract: A labeling machine servo motor to drive the label feed is combined with a control system which tracks the surface of the item to be labeled wherein all of the parameters affecting the placement of the label are instantly programmable. Label motion starting position, label acceleration and deceleration rates, label speed, and label stop position are all under program control and may be adjusted within the control system or by an external device utilizing a network, a serial interface, or a discrete input/output interface to the control system. In the preferred embodiment, the control system comprises a servo controller easily programmable and reprogrammable in the necessary parameters to effect more accurate and faster label application.

  • Patent number: 5033240
Abstract: Apparatus to temporarily enclose multi-story structures such as municipal water towers during sandblasting and painting to thereby contain the debris and overspray from the environment. A plurality of booms extending in an array outwardly from the top of the structure are temporarily attached to the structure. Hoisting and guide cables extend downwardly from the ends of the booms out beyond the outermost periphery of the structure. A plurality of fabric or plastic panels are supported on a framework in turn attached to guides on the guide cables and the guides are attached to the hoisting cables. The guide cables are anchored to ground. The hoisting cables are connected to a common hoisting engine. The entire assembly of panels can be raised in unison about the structure for daily activities and then lowered at night or quickly lowered in the event of high winds.

  • Patent number: 4902010
Abstract: A game based upon the balancing of dissimilar shaped blocks, one upon the other in sequence, until the construct topples or no more blocks can be added. The game features blocks varying not only in shape and size to a substantial extent but also varying in density, surface texture and subtle geometric adjustments not easily discernable to the player without considerable practice and experience with the game. In particular, on some pieces angles that appear to be perpendicular are not, pieces that appear to be massive are not and with some adjoining pieces friction between engaging surfaces substantially differs from the friction between other engaging surfaces. Scoring rules matched to the game set of blocks provide a hand eye coordination challenge to players of all ages.
